Book 1: Walk On by Stephen Panus
Summary – Stephen suffered the tragic loss of his teenage son, a loss every parent dreads. Here in Nigeria, one of the prayers parents say is that their children should bury them, not the other way around, meaning they live long enough to see the next generation. Stephen shares his experience, the lessons learned, and memories of the beautiful life his son Jake lived, along with the lives he’s impacted and continues to impact.
Why it caught my eye – A New York Times bestseller, Joe Draper, reviewed it and it piqued my interest. After reading the foreword, I knew I had to read it.
Key takeaways so far – This has been the one I’ve been reading the most. Heartwarming, beautiful, and a true reflection of life and humanity. So many lessons and grace from a father’s perspective. I can’t wait to see what the final pages hold.

Book 2: The Ragged Edge of Time by Tom Kane
Summary – A sci-fi drama of alien infiltration, alternate history, AI evolution, time travel, and a desperate fight for survival, all fused into one thrilling story.
Why it caught my eye – I’ve been gravitating toward fiction, and science fiction fits the bill perfectly. Tom Kane’s writing style, from the chapters I’ve read so far, delivers impeccable action and storytelling.
Key takeaways so far – The unpredictability has been something else. I’m only about five chapters in, and I’m already confused, haha. It’s fast-paced, with lots of plot twists, which bodes well for what’s to come.

The truth is, I didn't know either of them, but you've made me want to know more. What you say about Walk On sounds incredibly tough but also incredibly moving; that line about children burying their parents is absolutely true, and I got goosebumps just reading your summary. ❤️
And about the science fiction one... I totally understand! Haha. Sometimes those time-travel books with complex plots fry your brain for the first few chapters until you get the hang of it.
Oh you know this 😅
It has been a beautiful read, and I can wait to round it up.
