RE: Victor Hugo's Les Miserables changed my way of seeing the social reality of the past. [ENG] / Los Miserables de Victor Hugo cambió mi modo de ver la realidad social del pasado. [ESP]

I've tried reading this book many times and I hate them all. I can't explain it well, but I think his story is very boring and monotonous.

Ironically, I enjoyed watching the latest movie version of it (although it's still kinda boring because it's completely set to music).

The problem is often that: there are books that, because they are too descriptive, end up causing the reader (if they are not properly prepared) a certain mental fatigue. But that does not mean they cease to be monumental works of literature.

Therefore I do not advise you to read Notre Dame de Paris, much less watch the musical show that toured Europe by the hand of the director Riccardo Cocciante: a true masterpiece with capital letters.

I guess Notre Dame de Paris sounds more interesting, haha!
