RE: DEISM is functionally identical to ATHEISM

Seriously meant or gallows humor?

It's a serious option if you try to look at the cosmos as a mechanism and try to extricate our natural inclination to place humans at the center.

(IFF) "this" "started" with a "bang" (AND) will "end" with equilibrium (heat-death) (THEN) "everything" serves this ultimate goal

It's sort of a less popular spin on the old teleological fallacy.

I have the impression that man hates himself. This is a real problem and need not be. Psychological depths are opening up. It would be really heartwarming if we didn't take ourselves too less and not too seriously.

We do seem to be somewhat self-destructive.

Perhaps you might find this inspiring,

Sort:

Thank you for that documentary. I watched it in total. Touched me.

It seems crazy to me that we can find meaningful solutions like VIPASSANA and almost nobody even knows about it.

This would do the entire world so much good.

I guess you must be humbled down, in the same way, the prisoners were, before you can even dare to do Vipassana. So far, I did not. You?

This seems to be a reasonably accurate approximation of my experience,

In 6 minutes and 28 seconds,

For some reason I feel reminded of the day I gave birth to my son. It was the precious minutes in absolute silence before leaving the house to the clinic. I had no identity of "me", just sat there without any thought in particular. Just calm and clear, neither sad nor happy... and then... life and rush and fear coming back. Which we call normality.

Thank you for this movie. It's a piece of art.

This story is so poetic.
