Cous cous cherry tomatoes and broccoli (ENG/ESP)

Good morning hivers how are you? We have made a lot of mistakes with food this weekend so today I decided to cook something light and healthy, as you know I cook couscous quite often I think it is a very versatile ingredient and I like it a lot.

For today's recipe you need:

  • 80 grams of couscous
  • 90 grams of broccoli
  • 60 grams of cherry tomatoes
  • 3 tablespoons of salt
  • 4 tablespoons of oil

First take the broccoli and clean it well with cold water, cut off the stem, prepare an empty bowl and break the florets with your hands or with a knife, put them aside and prepare a pot with 1 tablespoon of salt and about 500 ml of water to boil, when the water boils cook the broccoli for about 15 minutes.

Buenos días hibernadores, ¿cómo estáis? Este fin de semana nos hemos estado mimando mucho con la comida así que hoy he decidido cocinar algo ligero y sano, como sabéis cocino cuscús bastante a menudo creo que es un ingrediente muy versátil y me gusta mucho.

Para la receta de hoy necesitarás:

  • 80 gramos de cuscús
  • 90 gramos de brócoli
  • 60 gramos de tomates cherry
  • 3 cucharadas de sal
  • 4 cucharadas de aceite

Primero, toma el brócoli y límpialo bien con agua fría, córtale el tallo, prepara un recipiente vacío y rompe los floretes con las manos o con un cuchillo, resérvalos y prepara una cacerola con 1 cucharada de sal y unos 500 ml de agua a hervir, cuando el agua hierva, cuece el brócoli durante unos 15 minutos.

Then take the tomatoes, wash them well and remove the sprigs if there are any, then cut them into small pieces and set them aside. Drain the previously cooked broccoli. Prepare a small saucepan with water for the couscous with the remaining salt when the water boils, throw in the couscous and turn off the heat, let the couscous absorb the water and let it rest for seven minutes then add the broccoli and cherry tomatoes and mix well seasoning with oil. Serve it hot or cold as you like, a simple and healthy dish, enjoy!

Luego cogemos los tomates, los lavamos bien también y les quitamos las ramitas si las tienen, luego los cortamos en trozos pequeños y los reservamos. Escurre el brócoli previamente cocido. Preparamos una cacerola pequeña con agua para el cuscús con la sal restante, cuando el agua hierva echamos el cuscús y apagamos el fuego dejamos que el cuscús absorba el agua y lo dejamos reposar siete minutos luego añadimos el brócoli y los tomates cherry y mezclamos bien, aliñando con aceite. Sírvelo caliente o frío a tu gusto, un plato sencillo y saludable, ¡disfruta tu comida!
