This saying is used to say that a person who acts badly ends badly. It reminded me of a conversation I once had with an acquaintance, and we were talking about crime, how young people waste their lives on crime and die soon; and I remember that he clearly said the following words to me: “It is so, if you have tomatoes, lettuce and onion and you are going to cook, you will never get a soup or a cake, but a salad; therefore, if they begin to steal, to commit crimes, obviously at any moment they will be killed ”. This is precisely what this saying tries to say.
A saying that is used to indicate the absence of reforms or real changes, to say that it is the same fact or the same thing but with a slightly different appearance. It is widely used in Venezuela when criticizing the lack of real improvements; since in essence everything remains the same but with another facade.
The act of pillar, is to grind the corn in a pile, which is a very laborious and heavy task. This saying is similar to the one that says "he who does not work, does not eat", and can be understood as one who does not make an effort, does not earn a living, and therefore does not earn benefits. It's a widely used saying, especially when addressing lazy people.
To think that the Sun is made of cheese and that the Moon is an arepa, is something very childish and naive, so this is a widely used saying to indicate that a matter is not as easy as it is believed; and it applies when something appears to be simple, but is not, and therefore, that superficial criterion cannot be trusted.
A saying widely used in the Venezuelan plains, and it means that when a person feels fear or pressure from someone else, they can achieve extraordinary things and apparently out of the ordinary, since it is very difficult for a toad to take flight.

Yes, some of them are funny, but undoubtedly all express a lot of truth and wisdom. Thanks for stopping by to read. A great greeting.
