Colombia is synonymous with coffee. So, it was significant when we took a field trip to Eje Cafetero
—coffee zone where The Bean, pride & joy of Colombia, is grown :)
Impression-rich trip; so many shades of Beauty. (altogether a 7 hour bus trip)
A little poem of mine to honor the occasion:
I saw my face this morning
hovering at the base
of a coffee cup
eyes liquid black
and thirsting
lips parted as if
some great spoon
had stirred me to the depths
and left everything swirling.
