I recently had to go to an abandoned factory site for work and while there marveled at the amount of infrastructure that remained and as I walked around took a few photos on my phone which I decided to share here.
The factory was formerly an automotive plant, more of a mini city really, producing over 650 vehicles a day with over 5,500 employees. I saw it in operation prior to its permanent shutdown and can attest to it having been an incredible thing to behold; all that mechanical engineering and human effort culminated in a single product that received 2 gallons of gasoline at the end of the line prior to a human being inserting a key and driving it off the line.
I have purposely not used photos of areas and items that may be identifiable however chose to use black and white to present them in a bid to show some drama and interest in the shots.
