And I have to admit that I'm taking this 'video over image' idea from one of the good guys on chain @theycallmedan It's been really cool to see him back creating stuff here!
Anyways, this 8 minute 'chat' is yours truly going over some thoughts I've been having about my journey here in chain. Nothing earth shattering, just a content creator trying to find his place in a world of AI and 'dear sir' comments.
Hope you guys enjoy the video and let me know if you think this is a good avenue to create content going forward. I used to do those face videos but my goodness, the last thing you guys need to see is my old face on camera for any amount of time :)

Hey Jongo! I know you've been back to Hive for a while now, but I'm glad you're still here. I feel the same way sometimes, but as you say, it's the community that keeps us here.
I'm happy you have a great 9 to 5. I'm working on finding one, too. In two days, I have an interview with the COO of a company, so that might be close.

Nice to listen to a creator's story and view on how to deal with the changing world of content creation.
It's a weird place I'm in....I love this stuff so much but I know AI can wipe out my ability to produce content that people actually engage with on traditional social media in a heart beat. I hope Hive stays true!
It's a great talk, and I agree that I feel valued on Hive. Things have changed quite a bit, and there are issues that need to be solved. We don't see that happening though, but I still believe that Hive can recover.
I think if everyone feels like what they do here matters, people will stick around, no matter what the price of the token

I think that the whole AI thing is way overblown and will not replace real human interaction as far as meaningful content is concerned.
Think about the amount of AI slop being created and rejected by anyone with two working brain cells.
There are excellent uses for AI like curing disease etc but when it comes to social skills AI is hopeless.
AI is a misnomer of the stuff that people call AI. It's just a large language model.(llm)

Actual AI artificial intelligence doesn't exist and is a long way off thankfully.

Problem is, it'll get better. What AI was a year ago compared to today is night and day. Tech always improves. So I guess humans need to level up as well :)
The problem is that some see AI as an enemy, not a tool. But the future waits for no one; it just passes you by.
I'm trying to figure out how I fit into it all lol
