Thank you! I started this post by thanking @abundance.tribe for continuing to generate these biweekly reflection questions that invite self-knowledge and to understand the different ways of thinking that people have for the same answer, this allows us to be more tolerant and opens our minds to diversity.
My concept of success
This has varied throughout my life, when I was young I thought that success was to have the best grades in my studies, to have properties and money in abundance, this concept is very immature and was the one I kept in my thoughts until I was 25 years old or so.
Then life taught me that it was not so easy to get my ideal of success so it was changing as I reached maturity, I began to look for an ideal example of success among the people close to me, none met my expectations so I continued to be happy reinforcing my self-esteem and I forgot about this concept as such.

Mi concepto de éxito
Este ha variado a lo largo de mi vida, de joven pensaba que el éxito era tener las mejores calificaciones en los estudios, tener propiedades y dinero en abundancia, este concepto es bien inmaduro y era el que mantuve en mis pensamientos hasta los 25 años más o menos.
Luego la vida me enseño que no era tan fácil obtener mi ideal de éxito por lo que fue cambiando a medida que llegué a la madurez, comencé a buscar entre las personas cercanas un ejemplo ideal de éxito, ninguno satisfacía mis expectativas por lo que seguí siendo feliz reforzando mi autoestima y me olvide de este concepto como tal.
The closest people to me that today I consider successful are my grandmothers, both with ages of 91 and 96 years are alive and healthy, this is a success without a doubt, they were independent women who worked at home and outside the home, raised more than 10 children each and all their descendants are good people, without vices, hardworking and professional. So they are a good example of success for me.
However, success is unique and particular as people themselves, there is not the same success for two, that I see in my grandmother successful people does not mean that I have to look for that same success, nowadays a woman with more than 10 children is not a reflection of success but of carelessness and irresponsibility. Everything changes with time, even this concept in society.
Las personas más cercanas a mí que hoy en día considero exitosas son mis abuelas, ambas con edades de 91 años y 96 años están vivas y saludables, esto es un éxito sin lugar a dudas, fueron mujeres independientes que trabajaron en el hogar y fuera del él, criaron más de 10 hijos cada una y todos sus descendientes son personas de bien, sin vicios, trabajadores y profesionales. Así que son un buen ejemplo de éxito para mí.
Sin embargo, el éxito es único y particular como las personas en sí, no existe el mismo éxito para dos, que vea en mis abuelas personas exitosas no quiere decir que tenga que buscar ese mismo éxito, en la actualidad una mujer con más de 10 hijos no es reflejo de éxito sino de descuido e irresponsabilidad. Todo cambia con el tiempo, hasta este concepto en la sociedad.
So success for me is:
- Being healthy in mind, body, and soul.
- To live to the fullest, enjoying the simplest things in life.
- To live in peace and harmony with other human beings and animals.
- To have someone to love and be loved.
Everything else, such as food, material goods, travel, comes in addition to acting well.
What does success look like?
I see myself successful being a happy woman, who feels satisfied to leave something positive in others in her path, who lives to the fullest without thinking about what she did not have or will have. Living in the present.
How can you get there?
Breathing, seeking wellness, maintaining my health, doing what I like to generate income, contributing to my family, friends, and acquaintances in any aspect.
Entonces el éxito para mí es:
- Ser saludable en mente, cuerpo, y alma.
- Vivir a plenitud disfrutando de lo más sencillo de la vida.
- Convivir en paz y armonía con otros seres humanos y animales.
- Es tener a quien amar y ser amado
Lo demás como el alimento, los bienes materiales, los viajes, viene por añadidura del actuar bien.
¿Qué aspecto tiene el éxito?
Me veo exitosa siendo una mujer feliz, que se siente satisfecha de dejar algo positivo en los demás a su paso, que vive a plenitud sin pensar en lo que no tuvo o tendrá. Viviendo su presente.
¿Cómo se puede llegar allí?
Respirando, procurando bienestar, manteniendo mi salud, realizando lo que me gusta para generar ingresos, aportando a mi familia, amigos y conocidos en cualquier aspecto.
To be more concrete it would be to do:
- Exercises
- Meditation
- Relate assertively with others
- Work on what I like
- Enjoying nature
- Finding daily motivation
- Gratefulness
- No future expectations
- No remorse for what was not
- Living in the present
Maybe my concept of success will be limited for other people, today I feel that it is the concept that fulfills me fully and makes me happy. Just in the previous publication to this one that deals with my goals for this year 2022, I said that I had to define success for me, thank you done this one.
Para ser más concreta sería hacer:
- Ejercicios
- Meditación
- Relacionarse asertivamente con los demás
- Trabajar en lo que me gusta
- Disfrutar de la naturaleza
- Encontrar una motivación diaria
- Agradecer
- Sin expectativas futuras
- Sin remordimiento por lo que no fue
- Viviendo el presente
Tal vez mi concepto de éxito se verá limitada para otras personas, hoy siento que es el concepto que me llena plenamente y me hace feliz. Justamente en la publicación anterior a esta que trata sobre mis objetivos para este año 2022, decía que tenía que definir el éxito para mí, gracias hecho esta.
