Depression and anxiety, how to overcome these biblically part 1|| MCGI topic review

Greetings!

One thing that's inevitable in life is death as it's been written in the scripture and according to the book of Heb 9:27 that, “it's been appointed for a man to die once after which is judgement.”

So, everyone would die, but knowing fully well that we would all die, i don't think this should cause us depression, but the reverse is now not the case as people are now harboring the fear of dying which is now causing us depression. In fact, the fear of dying has sent many to their early graves which shouldn't have been.

According to the analysis of Bro. Eli, it's not in God's intention that we should live forever, thereby we should always be prepared for death as the man called Lazarus, the poor man in the book of Luke 16:20-21 did. According to Bro. Eli, we were told that this man never complained about anything and this was because of him striving towards eternity unlike the rich man who also died and was taken to hell, the poor Lazarus was taken to the bosom of father Abraham.

So, we should never be depressed of death as both young and old would die, but instead we should make do and act on the scriptural verse of Philippians 4:6-7 which asked us not to think or be anxious of anything and that with prayers and supplications we should make our request known to God.”

To me, that's the only way we can overcome depression and also not minding death would also give us more peace and rest of mind as there's nothing we can do to avert depression that takes our mind off the inevitability of death.

Thanks for reading.
