I really thank God for my life and for how my spiritual life keeps evolving since after I joined the MCGI congregation. Thank you brother Eli for sharing.
SUMMARY OF WHAT I LEARNT.
From while the service was on I was able to jot down very few things but they were top notch.
From the service I learnt about the true church and also about the true word.
From the scriptures in Isiah 43 vs 7 from where I was made to understand that not everyone that calls upon the name of God really knows God, but in a situation, if those who call upon the name of God knows God even if it is a little, the Bible says, even everyone that calls upon me, for I have created all of them for my glory, We as brethren and as believers were created for God's Glory, we were created to spread and show his Glory all through the universe. Each time we call upon the Lord as his chosen people and are living a life of righteousness and holiness and also abiding by all his doctrines, from the passage we learnt that we were created for God's Glory, as a result of that I was made to understand that it is expected of us as believers that everything we do, we should ensure that it returns glory unto our father in heaven, always remember that we were created for his glory. God in heaven alone deserves the glory we should make sure we return all the glory to him. Each time his people are called by his name he gets glory from that, we should always be called his people so his name shall be glorified.
From the scriptures where I was made to understand that on no account should we ever call upon the name of the Lord our God in vein or for jokes, as brethren and as believers we never should we call upon the name of the Lord in vein. It is seen as sin to joke around with the name of the Lord.
Also from the scriptures in Daniel 9 vs 19 from this passage here i was made to understand that God finds pleasure in been called by his name, especially when a believer is in distress and facing a difficult situation, never call upon the name of Lord in vein as believer never make jokes of the name, each time we call on his name in time of difficulties, he promised in his words that he will surely hear our cry and answer us. From the scriptures we can hear Daniel saying words of prayer to the Lord and pleading that the Lord should show mercy and forgive and also hearken to his cry, for God's sake, God's people and city are called but God's name. Just as seen earlier, the Lord is happy when we his people are called by his name, when we are called by his name he receives the glory.
I learned that the name Jesus Christ was given to him by his father in heaven, we all already know that Jesus Christ is the best name, there is no name so sweet, like Jesus nam at the mention of that name every knee must bow, and even if you go into research you see only very few persons bear the name.
From the service we saw how effective the name of the our Lord and savior Jesus Christ is, it can be used to cast and bind demons, to chase demons away, so as brethren we are advised to honour that name Jesus Christ because it is a name above every other name.
From the womderful service I was made to know that whenever we take the name of the Lord in vein, the Lord frowns at such acts and when we call on him for help he will not answer.
From the scriptures in Isaiah 43 vs 5-6 I was made to know that God for sure really did love the people of isreal and he kept reaching them by picking up prophets from amongst them. Through this prophets, he spoke unto them and telling them, not to be frightened because he is with them, I will bring thy seed form the East and gather them from the West. God gave the children of isreal so much assurance, he Ave them his promises which he is still keeping to until this day. He promised to gather the seeds of the Israelites from the East and even from the West, he also gave them his words on how he would ask the North to stop and give up. God never goes back in his words, he keeps to his words from generation to generations.
FORMER BELIEVE.
I used to believe God's promises only ends with whom made that promise with but today I was made to know that he's promises goes from generation to generations continuously.
HOW THE STUDY AFFECTS ME.
I will not take the name of the Lord my God in vein again.
I will know when to call in him and when not to.
