All glory be unto God in heaven for an opportunity to be in his presence and to partake in the worship of his holy name. The service was a blast indeed and I was opportuned to learn a lot.
Summary of what I learnt
From the scriptures in Ephesians 5 vs 24 I was made to understand that, women are to be loyal to their husband exactly the same way the church is to Christ, for this reason women must obey instructions from their husband and give them the respect due to them, for the man is the head of the house and the bread winner of the family. Nevertheless women are also expected to support their husband.
From the scriptures in Ephesians 5 vs 33 From this passage I was made to understand that every Christian man or husband is encouraged to show love to their wives, Christian men should love their wives as much as they love themselves. I was made to understand that a woman is only loyal to a man who loves and respects her, for this reason every man is expected to love and respect his wife, husbands are supposed to be like a support system to their wives. Nevertheless a woman is not expected to cheat on her husband, women should love and respect their husbands.
From the scriptures in Isiah 58 vs 7 From this passage I was made to understand that, as Christians it is expected of us to give food to the those who are hungry in our midst, we are also expected to provide home to the homeless, we should also provide clothes to this who are naked in our midst. From the Bible we learnt that, we should share our bread with the hungry in our midst and also welcome the poor who don't have where to go to into our house, provide clothes to those who don't have, this is one of the instructions from God, we should do all these because we are all one body through Jesus Christ our Lord.
From the scriptures in Matthew 5 vs 28 from this passage I was made to understand that, as believers we should never look at a woman lustfully or lost after a woman that is not our wife, we should not think negative of her in our mind. Any man who looks at a woman lustfully sins against God. Looking at a woman who's not your wife lustfully is a sin.
From the scriptures in 1 Corinthians 7 vs 4 this passage I was made to understand that, women have no power over their body and same applicable to the man too for he has no power over his body, this is why they should never turn each other down. Therefore couples should never turn each other down when requested unless fasting is involved then and only then are they expected to abstain from each other. If they are fasting and want their prayers to be answered they have to abstain from each other for some time.
From the scriptures in Matthew 6 vs 16-17 from this passage I was made to understand that, it is not advised for christians to make it known to the public that they are praying, praying and attracting attention is hypocytical. Prayers should be behind closed doors and words should be between you and God. Prayers should not be said out loud.
I was made to understand that, it is a sin for any man to maltreat his wife, I also learnt that, it is a sin as well for a woman to lie with a man that is not her husband. For this reason as husband and wife they are encouraged to love one another till eternity.
