What is the faith of the thief on the cross written in Luke 23:42-43? (Part 3 of 7)

Here is my contribution on the above topic;

Our deeds are the fruits that grows from one who is obedient to God's commands and transformed by His grace through faith in our good works. Bro Eli explained two parts of Salvation i.e believing in Jesus christ through faith viz;

  1. Saved only by Faith at the last hour. ( The thief professed his faith because there is no chance for him to do good works believing Jesus christ is an expression of his faith) Luke 23:42 "And he said unto Jesus Lord remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom ".

  2. Saved not only by faith but Accompanying our faith with good works of obedience ( because there's more than an hour, more than months,years to live therefore more works is required to add to our faith) 1Corinth 13:13 "And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity". The three virtues are inseparable, they are connected one can't function well without the other.

A "faith" without works is like a body without breadth: dead (James 2:17) "Even so faith, if it hath not works is dead being alone". Doing good works are the outer reflection of our inner transformation. Faith is not enough, accompany your faith with works of obedience ( 2Peter 1:5-7).
