If God Created Everything In Love, Why Does He Allow Us To Suffer?

These are the amazing things I learned from Bro. Eli Soriano's teaching on the above-mentioned topic in addition to my own personal research as well.

We, as humans, we are responsible for our own predicaments. As much as the bulk rests with us, but I also understand that there are few things beyond our control which is still caused by another human. Sin from Adam caused us a lot with God and in our modern world too, our disobedience is keeping us at loggerheads with God's commands. If not for our selfishness and disobedience, we should not have any reason to suffer anything and it can be traced also back to Adam and Eve at the Garden of Eden because that is where we emanated from.

Psalm 51:5 (NIV)

Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.

As humans, we are the pride of God and that was why the Bible recorded that everything He made was good. There was no evil on earth. God wanted a life of bliss for us. We were all created in His image with our varying looks and personality. That is how dynamic and incomprehensible our awesome God is.

There was no death, there was no sickness and all that God created was for man to live a life of ease and enjoyment. He commanded man to eat of the fruits in the garden except for one but man was tricked and disobedience occurred which was the start of the downfall of man.

Genesis 2:16-17 (NIV)

And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden;
but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

Death was never intended when God created the world. Death only entered into the equation because of the disobedience of man as it was written in the reference scripture above. When we disobey God, there are consequences. God will never bend His rules for any man. He can never bring His standards down for any man but He expected man to live up to those standards in love and understanding of His ways.

Romans 5:12 (NIV)

Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—

It was a botanical and zoological garden, so everything man needed for health, maintenance and feeding were presented to them in the garden. God supplied them with anything and everything they needed. The intention was for them to enjoy a life of bliss but disobedience rubbed man off.

A lot of people question why God who is the God of love is allowing people to suffer but the truth is, there is an order. God upholds His Words. As much as He is a God of love, He is a God of justice too. We are suffering for such much for our part in disobedience to Him. Just as justice is being served in the heavenly bodies where the Sun and Moon and other firmaments cannot pull beyond their territory, God wants to order and justice to be inculcated into our lives as humans.

Justice must be introduced just as we have social justice too to bring about order into our world. Without justice, there would be lawlessness. If we go against the rule of God there would be consequences and imagine the Sun pulling further out than its direction, there would be chaos in the world as the ray from the Sun will burn humanity. Without then Sun too, we would freeze. The truth is, we will always suffer the consequences of our disobedience.

We have abused so many of life's nature. We abuse drugs and for selfish reasons too, we have reduced the amount of oxygen on earth while filling the atmosphere with so much carbon which can be seen as responsible for so many diseases we have in the world today as well. If there is abuse, there would naturally be consequences. We are suffering from the consequences of our abuse. Noah lived for 950 years while Methuselah lived for 969 years of age. God intended for us to live for long and these days, we are suffering the effect of the abuses humans have perpetuated regarding the things God made for us.

Thank you for your time.

My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks, with speed and ease.

Still me,

My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer.

Olawalium; (Love's chemical content, in human form). Take a dose today: doctor's order.

Sort:

Because god gave us free will. If you say that god did not intend for us to have free will, and it was only because of the serpent (devil) tempting eve with the knowledge of free will (apple) and that she violated Adams trust, and both of their spiritual faith by giving into temptation.

Than I would say that your god (the "god" of the Abrahamic covenant) is nothing more than a myth, and a tool of oppression, and a means to govern by force, and fear.

I got big problems with organized religion, and the notion that there is one god, who is the father of Jesus Christ. If god created everything in love, than why did the pope issue "Papal-Bull" and tell believers of the Christian faith to assume the right and the duty to go forward into the world and make claim to lands, and to indoctrinate indigenous "savage and godless" people into the ways of the Christian faith, and that those who resisted, or asserted their self determination and sovereignty over land, should be considered rightful targets of the military assets of the "pilgrims" "conquistadors" "early settlers" etc.

If god created everything in his image, and out of love: Why does he allow organized religion. Christians, Jewish, Muslim, Catholic etc.. are all vary good people, but their faiths are rooted in colonialism, imperialism, and dehumanization of native cultures.

Just ranting.

Ranting well received. Like I said, we are responsible for our own choices and He would never force us to do His will. He doesn't override our wills.
