We are building Christians to develop a great love for God. We are building in the people a great awareness of God's presence which is not in the rest of the world.
The duty if ministers of God in the church is to educate the people of God about the words and will of God so that the people can please God in all things
The Acts 26:18 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’
The primary duty of a preacher is to open the eyes of the people so that the people can see the light of God and turn from darkness to light. It is not the ordinary eyes but the spiritual eyes. So a true gospel delivers the people from the power of satan unto God.
But in order for anyone to see the light, their eyes must be opened. The way we open the eyes of the people is through the word of God.
The word of God is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.
So as the people learn the word, they are built and developed.
James 1:21
Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
it is the word of God that saves our souls. not the words of men.
So the advice to believers is that they read and study the bible that they may know God by faith.
