This lesson is really really apt in time like this where sounded doctrine is out of alignment in the church of this generation.
1 cor 4;16-18 we have learnt that the outward fades , temporal, and subject to decay or corruption and is made of flesh while the inward man is eternal and spiritual.
matt 7: 15 teaches that the outward man is deceptive but the inward man is the true nature of man. However the inward man could be beastly in nature; prov 26:11 made us understand that people could be human outwardly and they exist inwardly human too while some outward appearance may be human , the inward man an be a beast. and that that is why a man with a beastly could sleep sleep with his four year old daughter and he's comfortable or a man hate his wife and commit adultery with another woman.
From mat 1:26 we learnt that original meaning of man is a creature that is after the image of God and Rom 7:22 gives the understanding that the inward man is expected to delight in the Law of God thereby prevent it from beastly nature.
we also learnt to access ourselves to know if we are still a man or a beast 2 cor 13:5. because there are people who look good on the outside but inwardly muddy like the carp.
1 peter 3:3 also admonishes us especially women to avoid chemical product for adorning yourselves because this could lead sickness and death. that 20% of every 1000 women suffers from breast cancers due to some of this chemical. we were taught the alternative way of of been free from body odour. the alternative means is by keeping Good hygiene and the use of alum.
Additionally,we were taught that christians should prohibit the use of jewelry as this may lead to bodily injury,inability to maintain good health or death as a result of attacks by robbers. (hosea 2:13, isa 3:16-24).
I used to think that wearing of pants by the women folks is a sin but 1 pet 3:4, 1 tim 2:9 mt 5:28 admonishes that the dress can must be modest and that ladies should prohibit what would make sin as a result of what they wear.
All these lesson learnt has help me define my belief system . honestly most ministry wont teach this so as not to lose members but it better to prepare souls that are rapture bound.

We suggest adding more of our personal reflection on the topic discussed, I can give an example here,
Matthew 28:20 - we have learned that we are to obey the commandment of the Lord and preach the gospel in all nations until the end comes but who are the main people who will preach, it is in the church of God as it is written
1 Peter 2:9 - God's people have the obligation to preach the gospel that is found in the one body. In this way we can always add our personal reflection and understanding, we can avoid mass quoting the whole verses.
We have to apply this to avoid any conflict from other communities. I hope we understand, God help us.
