#HiveHustlers: A Conversation With the Community.

HiveHustlers FrontEnd Discussion.png

We've mentioned it in Discord, and we've had members mention it to us:

Will there be a HiveHustlers front-end/condenser/interface that members can use, truly taking the community to the full level of "tribe"?

Of course, the idea is tantalizing, and we are interested in it - however, it's really up to the community and their level of involvement:

  • What do you want to see/what additional features do our members want if we were to develop our own interface?

  • What level of engagement and use could we possibly expect to see (a show of numbers in terms of feedback/comments helps a lot here!)

  • Would it truly be something that would benefit the community as a whole and bring more value, or would it be a time sink?

  • If we are to develop our own interface, of course, we would want it to be UNIQUE -- this adds in additional development time and costs, which can run quite high. How could we subsidize this?

  • We really need to hear some community feedback on this - the team loves the idea of building a completely unique interface out, but we absolutely need to see true support and feedback from a majority of the community.

We need constructive criticism, ideas, and members to chime in and speak their minds.

We're opening the floor up to you, HiveHustlers - speak your peace, and help us better understand how we can provide what you wish to see. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and absolutely necessary here!

As others said in the comments, there are a lot of front-ends already, but that doesn't mean a lot if we are looking on it as a number... If you want to start a new one, and believe that you can bring something new on the table, I wouldn't look on just a number...

For example, I really like the look of the Leofinance frontend and all the innovation that they have implemented, and it looks like that approach is working... Personally, I'm not using the platform as I have no available time for that also, BUT, I really like the concept and innovations...

On the other side, I'm very active on CTPTalk frontend and I spend every day a couple of hours on it moderating for ThisIsAwesome curation project... CTPTalk is a basic frontend with basic options, and that is a big minus... Developing the frontend needs expertise and time, and owners of the CTP have no time for that... On the other side, there are some awesome members of the community that are the REAL value of the platform... There is a CTP community page on Hive (like HiveHustlers at the moment), but it is far less popular as CTPTalk frontend...

I don't know too much about the community on the Leofinance, but the mix of frontend like LeoF, and community of the CTP is the perfect killer-combination...

We can't forget the "incentive" for content creation by earning tokens for authors and curators on the tribe's frontends... I would say that THAT is the "biggest pro" of tribes against communities at the moment (before HMT, SMT, or whatever they called will come)...

Growing a community is a challenge and it takes time, but it should be a good long-term plan...

Of course, in a lack of time, you have to prioritize things and if there is a IF-IF question, then you should go with the more innovative thing first...

Thank you for taking the time to leave your honest feedback here - everyone that voices their thoughts here is helping us tremendously.

The key here is finding new and accessible ways for people to become involved in the community and incentivize their participation - that was the biggest concern for a possible front-end.

It seems like the community would rather trade a new front-end for other practical utility/tool sites, which we have also been exploring and planning out. We have a few projects currently underway that we hope to launch within the next few weeks.

We're here for good - it's going to be a grind, but we WILL grow this community base, member by member.

There are a lot of front ends already, you would have to come up with something to attract folks to your. I use the ctp, leo and the sports front ends for my posts. There maybe other better ways to get folks using your tokens than a front end. Other projects may be the answer. Best of luck making the right choice.

Very true - that is definitely a challenge that we're deciding if we should tackle or not. It is starting to seem that launching other creative projects that deliver value to not just the community, but Hive as a whole is the way to go here.

    Thank you for the feedback!

I think it's difficult to come up with a great idea for a front end at this point. It may be better to work on other projects and people can just do everything through the community.

We definitely have a few other projects currently in development/in the pipeline, so that's not an issue for sure. The biggest thing was truly hashing out if a front-end is something the majority wanted - so far, it's not appearing that way.

Thank you for your feedback, we truly appreciate everyone that speaks their mind!

    I’m torn.

If you want to go get new users and bring them to the chain I think a new front end could be awesome for the community. Bring on new users is costly I believe.

Cons are similar to what you mentioned. There are already a lot so it would have to be an improvement on what people are already using to bring them over. That costs money and time.

I’m supportive either way but I’m leaning more to focusing on other projects that will bring value to the hustler token.

    Good luck.

Thank you @dkid14 - this is exactly the sort of feedback that we are looking to receive from the community.

These sort of breakdowns will really help us, as a whole, focus on what truly matters to the community, and which direction we should aim our sights.

We appreciate your feedback and for being an extremely supportive member of the community!

Great questions, I have really been too busy posting in other communities to use the Hustler community, mostly communities I have set up myself, but great that you look for feedback.

Community feedback is absolutely critical here - we very seriously consider and weigh the comments provided by our members, always aiming to deliver maximum value to as many as possible.

I have used weedcash and leofinance ,posting content related to the topic as mentioned by there name .Yeah it would be really awesome to see HiveHustlers frontend ,but just making its ui and features just like hive might not be a good start. I mean , simple but with unique ui and feature that represents HiveHustler can be a goid start . Also for community managemet , instead of just comment and vote action there should be much more like trust or reviews or maybe ele . And a statistics about community engagement on each post , growth of engagement (Ex:- like on which rate engagement on my content are getting increasing or decreasing) so people can imporove .

This is just my personal idea, had this though sice long ago but didn't had anywhere to give feedback whith my idea. Buy ther are lot of user on maybe someine might have some perfect feedback.
