As we go into the 3rd & last installment of the Hotel Life mini-series from 2019, most of them had been on the Steem blockchain but never was brought to #HIVE.
As most of you know, I work in the hotel industry, due to the world pandemic, I am on furlough/medical leave at the moment & not sure if I will return, which is fine since I am ready to pursue my passions full time.
Working with the public is hard sometimes, as many of you can relate. It can be very rewarding, especially when you are able to help others in difficult situations, but it can also be extremely taxing, both physically & mentally. Unfortunately, not every one is kind.
So, instead of being angry or letting it get to me in serious ways, I started filming what really happens behind the scenes; the voice behind the phone. It shows a comedic side to things as well as tiny subliminal gems of wisdom.
Most days at the Hotel, we encounter different types of clientele & this was no exception. As I was constantly dumbfounded by the calls, I became frazzled & dazzled, of course ;)

Even though you guys are in the background you kind of have direct contact with the client and to speak on the phone is like Russian roulette, you never know when you'll get the bullet, in this case, a crazy yelling client 🤣

Doesn't it give you warm and fuzzy feelings? ha ha ha. Yes, Russian Roulette is right! Of course, as I said in the other comments, there were nice guests, too, but wow, the humdingers I would get really were memorable!

Thank you so much! Yes, customer service can definitely be challenging lol. There were many positive moments so it wasn't ALL like this, of course. But the crazy calls really stood out. I could write a book on it lolol.

Ha ha ha ha! Right? Customer Service is definitely not for the weak. I have been doing it for 20+ years. It can be very rewarding, but I swear that job just totally took the wind out of my sails. And the video you saw was a tame day haha. 🤣
