I have a troll as well. He doesn’t downvote a significant amount, so that’s good. I am therefore able to ignore it for the most part. The only thing that actually disturbs me about it is that it would be easy for someone to see the ritual downvotes on my posts and assume I did something to deserve it!
I know what you mean people can get the wrong impression if they see downvotes on our posts
