Hello fellow Summoners! Splinterlands has done it again and released a much sought after card. Fresh from releasing Der Gottem Gearnut, another legendary card, this time an archon is going to be released through Conflicts airdrop.

Loving the Moo

Loving the Moo, funny name for a were wolf card. He's Water splinter archon with seven mana. Loving the Moo is a dual archon card, granting the Poison ability to all Canisan and Elementals. In addition, he's also a tactics archon, giving Blast and Magic Reflect abilities to two allied units.

Lore

The curious name has ties to Loving the Moo's lore. He's a Canisan raised by Minotaurs and they gave him a cow themed name.

A tribe of grayhair minotaurs found the lupus pup alone in the Fenmoor, too young to survive without a pack. They took him in, and when he giggled at their lowing, they named him Loving the Moo. He grew among them, learning their ways while discovering his own gift, an unprecedented mastery of elemental magic that allowed him to summon and command elementals from the outer, upper, and lower planes of existence.

Combos and Synergies

On this part, I will focus on Modern cards only but I'm sure there are a lot of cards in the Wild Format that will work well with Loving the Moo.

Commander Slade

When I think of the Water splinter, combos around Commander Slade immediately comes to mind. He's my favorite tank that combines both strong offense, beefy defense and debuff to the enemy tank. His weakness is he lacks is defense against magic attacks. With Magic Reflect, he can at least counter the magic damage that comes his way. In addition, Blast will add another destructive ability to his arsenal. He deals five melee damage which means that the adjacent unit will receive three melee damage.

Nephket

Nephket is a Canisan which means she will benefit from the Bloodline Dominion ability, Poison. Imagine giving Poison and Blast abilities to this monster. She has dual attack of melee and range triggering Blast twice in one round. She also has Stun and Piercing, both offensive abilities that together with Sneak, are sure to decimate the enemy back line.

Molten Elemental

The Molten Elemental will be strong offensive tank when used with Moo. He also has dual attack of ranged and melee that will trigger his Blast ability twice. On defense, he has Flying which will increase his dodge against physical attacks. Unlike Commander Slade, he has defense against magic attacks in his Void and Silence abilities that when coupled with Magic Reflect, will be a nightmare for magic attackers.

Infernal Firestorm

Imagine the Infernal Firestorm in tank position and Molten Elemental in second. This is a super destructive combo when used with Moo as the archon. The Infernal Firestorm is magic dealing tank having three magic damage and insane speed of four. He has enough defense of seven armor and eleven health. These three in a team will be a deadly combo that will do damage to the enemy frontline.

Zargrul

Zargrul will be a great unit to use with Moo in magic only rulesets. He deals two magic damage and has three speed. On defense he has an armor and twelve health. Zargrul will be a great unit to combo with Moo in magic only ruleset. Give him the Magic Reflect ability to combo with his Taunt and that will do additional damage to the opponent. It's useful to give the Tactics ability to a unit with Taunt as this strategy divides the enemy attacks while dealing Reflect damage to the attackers.

How to Get Loving the Moo

Loving the Moo will be the next Conflicts airdrop card after Calamity. The details on joining Conflicts as well as chances to obtain Gold and Black Foils are detailed in this post.

Final Thoughts

Loving the Moo is another powerful card that serious players and collectors will want to add to their deck. He is simply an offensive archon that has a lot going in his kit. He can be used in combination with a lot of units. To maximize his Blast ability, it will be better to use him with dual attack units, units with Opportunity abilities and high damage units. This is another feather in the cap of Splinterlands and will surely be chased by a lot of players.
