I have not yet seen a better demonstration of such an impressive and comfortable combination of mountains and the sea, as it was in the town where I lived for 3 months, Kemer, Antalya.
The situation is like this, you could drive along a flat road, and suddenly, yours turns into a narrow serpentine between two steep rocks and a rapid river on the side. Such are the differences, as in life. So it was like a regular "Routine visit" for us. Basically something like this. If one's own strength is lacking, one must ask the mountains to borrow a little of theirs. That's exactly what we went for.
How exhilarating is the feeling of diving between the high rocks that hang over you, and that strange pressure of lifting up. The river in this canyon looks different at each stage of the ascent, and this is exactly what makes it interesting. At first it's just a wide space with a relatively shallow stream of water at the lowest point of the canyon near the local restaurant and it flows into their lake, but more on that another time. Then you drive further and further along a narrow road into the mountains, and from a high hill you see a much narrower and deeper river. Its rich turquoise color is incredible.
You drive further along a steep cliff and here you just come across a gentle descent with pretty trees around and when you go down you see a gorgeous pool in which you can even swim in the heat, here the mini waterfalls are already much steeper. And this contrast is inspiring.
How the river, as if with a powerful current, looks insignificant in relation to the high rocks above it. Next, we decided to drive further up this road and came across a less noticeable, difficult-to-reach descent, where there were several mini pools and we decided to cool off in the cold mountain water.
This is always a challenge because it is much colder than the one in the sea. The place looked quite picturesque, a large stone was the main character of this plot and created a feeling of coziness, around it there was a deepening of the pool in which we were supposed to swim. Honestly, I'm tired of writing, I'll just add a video of how I swam.
Sorry for the bad quality, I will try to change it later 😓
