RE: TravelFeed 3.0, Independence And Cross-Posting

Beneficiaries
In order to secure your content by storing all your articles and media on our servers we need to cover additional costs and decided to implement a 10% beneficiary share of the rewards your posts and comments are generating thanks to our new content distribution service. Please let us know if the percentage is too much but we hope that our new push service will offset these 10%. With just one press of a button your articles are being distributed to currently three (more to come in the future) possible platforms, this should increase your overall rewards. Additionally, it makes your post eligible for a TravelFeed upvote, which should offset the 10% for most posts.

Damn, while I understand the need to pay for servers I am a bit sad to hear this. Mostly this was the reason I decided also not to make my own blog website on steempress. I think 10% cut is too high everything considered. I think this percentage might keep many users from using travelfeed just like it kept me and others from using steempress, Dtube etc.

Isn't there other ways for this to get paid?
Wouldn't something like The Decentralized Hive Fund (DHF) be exactly for this kind of purpose? You have an awesome project going that could drive in a lot of people to hive. I would vote for this proposal in a heartbeat.

And then maybe eventually find ways to generate other means of revenue such as adds or when there are a lot more people even 2-3% beneficiaries might be enough? 10% is just such a high number for those of us who wish to use this website consistently that I really hope you might reevaluate this decision.

Besides this everything is just amazing! I Cannot wait to use your website for my upcoming adventures!

We do understand your concern but in perspective Travelfeed exists since the end of 2017and all the proceeds since then always have been re-invested into the platform and rewarding our users. And this will continue, we won't be paying ourselves out or are using earnings not related to the growth of TravelFeed and to secure our independence.

Any extra costs have been paid out of our own pockets but with our future plans to register our company and to release our own token, we're in need of some funds. We do have plans to give our users monetization options through conventional channels but before we can do that we need to be fully registered. When that time comes we're reconsidering the set beneficiary.

Also with the option to cross post your articles, you could be earning rewards on potential, several blockchains and frontends.

That is very true! Regardless of your decision, I will keep using travelfeed, just hope others will see it is worth it as well! :-)

There is somehow "no incentive" for them to build on Hive yet they are gladly taking your money to support their business.

Seems like a fucking incentive to me @travelfeed.

Tell the truth, @travelfeed remains on Steem and Hive simultaneously to double dip in rewards. You talk shit about the security or stability of the blockchain you are using to fund your crappy business.

Then you claim the blockchain isn't a place for a business to build.

If that's true, then @travelfeed should go somewhere else. I'll be flagging all @travelfeed content

You clearly have no idea what TravelFeed stands for and was working on for over 2 years!
