RE: TravelFeed 3.0, Independence And Cross-Posting

in TravelFeed4 years ago

Actually JP already admitted that it wasn't due to issues integrating and lack of time (as help was actually offered for that) it was that no money was offered. So you guys should get on the same page.

Sort:

2 days to move to a new blockchain? I don't call that a lot of notice. In the meantime the Inner Circle has been working on the fork for two weeks, not thinking to maybe give applications a quick heads-up? Oh wait the Hive Eco System didn't seem to have too many problems to swing da switch.

Again please don't reduce our project to the money factor - if that's our main focus we would have stopped a long time ago. TravelFeed is a project of love and passion.

You can see the screenshots - it’s clear the focus.

As far as the timing, yes it was short notice. I have personal DMs to you were we discuss that and I offer any technical support needed.. which was never asked for. All that was asked for was whether money would be provided.

As far as the other.. the convo for another chain happened in the Steemit dev slack weeks prior, which your team is a part of (I’m not). Looks like you guys weren’t keeping up to date on information (clear as you didn’t know the plans of your api provider either, even though it was announced) and therefore weren’t in on any planning prior to the announcement. After the announcement we had a conversation, and help was offered.

You can keep making excuses all you want and pretending this is some conspiracy theory.. but facts are very easy to find.

I’m sorry you feel you weren’t included, everyone was working pretty hard to make things happen.. and no one was babied or reached out to personally - everyone had the personal responsibility to stay up to date on information, ask for more if it wasn’t clear, ask to be added to chats if needed for additional help and essentially work to ensure their projects were ready to go - even if it was only 3 days notice to integrate an app. Seems many found it to be plenty of time and complimented the ease of integration provided. (Which was due to all that core work done for the few weeks).

So feel free to stomp your feet all you want and respond in gifs, cry on twitter using false claims etc.

The truth is easy to find, and most can be seen in those screenshots. So I understand the focus to make a project successful, no need to shit on everyone trying to help you in the process. Also no reason to try to blame everyone else for the issues you encountered. Plenty of help was available.. but no, no one offered you a check.
