Stay Home Challenge- Day 4 || Olden structure with domes!

in TravelFeed5 years ago

Domes were an essential part of the architecture in South Asian Countries. Especially in Bangladesh, you will get to see similar olden structures around the country. It's actually an influence of the Mughal Empire and their architecture. Using domes, red bricks, or color was very common back then. And that's why we have several identical buildings from different times.

I had the chance to visit many of the historical places and ancient structures with a similar design. They are from a different time, their background was different but they feel the same in many ways. Nowadays, most of the structure became a popular tourist place and some of them are museums too.

Today, I'm sharing three places with you. Just look at the similarity!

This place is inside the capital- Dhaka and you will hardly find anyone who didn't visit this place. You can learn about the history and background Here. I would rather talk about how much I enjoyed visiting there.

I last visited this place in 2015. Long time, huh! Yeah, back then I was not occupied by so many things and had time to do many kinds of stuff. So, I was with my three friends and we had a great day there. The building is now a museum and that's the attractive part for me. This place is not huge and located in the middle of the city. You will get to see highrise and all around here. But when you go inside and explore the museum it will take you back in old times.

Tajhat Palace

This palace is from my hometown- Rangpur; Bangladesh. I don't know how many times I visited this nice white beauty and every time it surprises me. You can learn more about this wonderful place Here.

I was searching for a noise-free image but couldn't find it. I was not a blogger back them so I never felt the need to capture anything like professional Architectural Photography. This structure is also a museum. The best attraction is the long, huge flower garden around the place. This is a large place with beautiful greenery around. So you can take your time and explore.

Lalbagh Fort

There's no need to tell how popular this place is. You can see the crowd. I didn't find any closer image of this building.

But here's a cropped one to share with you the similarity of the structural design.

Lalbagh Fort is a signature structure of the Mughal empire. Though it lost its beauty over time but the pond in front of it still makes it look wonderful. You can read more Here

I only visited this place twice but it attracted me most. You can see how the building looks like the middle of the city full of modern structure. If you can avoid the rush hour or festive days, you may get some calm crowd-free moment to enjoy the beauty.

I'm participating this #StayHomeChallenge for a few days. And sharing these images to enter into the contest. It was fun to come up with this idea to share an identical building structure I have visited. Also, it was not quite easy to go through my cloud and find the old images. But I did it. I hope you like my captures. Thanks to @psos for this #StayHomeChallenge and giving us the opportunity to recall our wonderful memories & to share with you.

THANKS FOR YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT!
