1. HOW TO GET A YEAR VISA

New Zealand has a Working Holiday Scheme for many nations around the world. For citizens of most countries the visa is valid for one year with a possible three month extension and up to 23 months for citizens of the United Kingdom and Canada.

Even in a Year there is plenty of time to work and travel, discovering this stunning country that is New Zealand. This great opportunity is available to 45 various countries

To check out if your country is on the list head to the New Zealand Immigration website and click on Working Holiday Visa Field. If your country is on the list and you meet their requirements (age, education, fund evidence, english language, health check and X-ray), grab it and prepare for the application next year.
Good luck 😍💪

Requirements are different from varying countries , for Vietnam (my country), we are offered 100 applicants per year- the application can feel very complicated but it's totally worth it.

2. OWN A TRANSPORT
Hit the road and move around New Zealand

Make sure that you have a driving licence before going to New Zealand. I was legally able to drive on my Vietnamese licence, citizens of other countries are able to convert their licence to a New Zealand one or may need to take a driving skill and road code test.

To purchase transport, my advice is to ask for a local's help (your landlord or co-workers). Or you could also post on a local 'buy/sell' car community on Facebook, or you may find a good car on https://www.trademe.co.nz/

If your finance is insecure then spend first few months after arrival working and earning to fulfill your dream ( as this visa allows you to work as well 😃).

Another considerable idea is to invest in a campervan if you (maybe with your partner) have a strong budget. You can decorate a bedroom though it MUST have a toilet inside, what a great way to enjoy the road trip around New Zealand waking up everyday with different stunning views. 😙😘

When i was on my working holiday I had an old 1997 Nissan Primera. It was my best companion, trustworthy and reliable on every road from the north to the far south.

3. MAKE A GOOD EARNING WHILE TRAVELLING

I could not believe that I built a good budget while travelling a lot in New Zealand.
There are plenty of temporary jobs available, especially during spring and summer. I had the chance to try my hand at many kinds of work that I never did before ( fruit picker/packer, cashier and sorting in large warehouses) .

New Zealand offers backpackers various jobs in all sorts of fields, most are labour intensive, but fun mixing with so many other travellers. Picking fruit was one of the most interesting experiences and I sampled all best export quality fruit like blueberries, cherries, apples, kiwifruit and feijoa.

How to find job?

Once connected to the fellowship of working Holiday Visa holders on facebook with their huge array of reviews and recommendations it's not difficult to find seasonal jobs in NZ. You could also consider the following website:
http://www.seasonaljobs.co.nz/
https://www.seek.co.nz/
https://www.backpackerboard.co.nz/

Or through agencies:
http://www.awf.co.nz/
http://www.opt4.co.nz/

Many accommodations introduced to their backpackers jobs and transport and sometimes provide work in exchange for free accomodation 😆

Before, I used to think only digital nomads or those who worked online were able to earn money while travelling. but you see what I could do during my working holiday time in this great country. :)
That's reason why this visa very special
