For the CCC's Street Art Contest #194 organized by @digi-me, I offer you an "old" lettering done by the StreetArt legend Scan on a parking on Mont-Royal Avenue in Montreal. I'd never been able to take photos because there were always cars thee. But at the end of this winter (that is, not long ago 😀), no cars at all, it was perfect for taking photos of the different wall in this spot.
Pour le CCC's Street Art Contest #194 organisé par @digi-me, je vous propose un vieux lettrage réalisé par la légende Scan sur un parking sur l'avenue Mont-Royal à Montréal. Je n'avais jamais pu faire de photos car il y avait toujours des voitures. Mais à la fin de cet hiver (c'est à dire il n'y a pas longtemps 😀), aucune voiture, c'était parfait pour prendre en photos les différentes de cet ensemble.
The lettering must have been done between September 2014 and June 2015 by the one and only Scan aka Alexandre Veilleux, a very talented and super-active writer and artist who died too soon due to illness. Ce lettrage a du être réalisé entre septembre 2014 et juin 2015 par le seul et unique Scan aka Alexandre Veilleux, writer et artiste très talentueux et super actif mort trop tôt à cause d'une maladie. WHERE
These two walls are located in the parking at the corner of De Bullion Street and Mont-Royal Avenue in Montreal. The back wall was made by Benny Wilding around 2015 as part of, I think, the Mural Festival (see StreetArt #014 for photos with brighter colors). The wall with the female figure surrounded by four letterings will be featured in this post.
Cet ensemble se trouve sur le parking au coin de la rue De Bullion et de l'avenue Mont-Royal à Montréal. Le mur du fond a été réalisé par Benny Wilding vers 2015 dans le cadre, je pense, du Mural Festival (voir StreetArt #014 pour des photos avec des couleurs plus vives). Le mur avec le personnage féminin entouré de quatre lettrages va être présenté dans ce post.

Dfek, Stack, Zek & ...
I don't know how old this wall is, but in September 2012 it already looked like this on Google Maps. Impressive that no one has dared tag it in all these years. We'll start with the top left corner with lettering from Stack 🔽, it's been a while since I've seen his letters. Just below, it's Zek.
Je ne sais pas de quand date ce mur mais en septembre 2012 il était déjà comme cela sur Google Maps. Impressionnant de voir que personne n'a osé le taguer depuis toutes ces années. Nous allons commencer par le coin en haut à gauche avec un lettrage de Stack 🔽, cela fait quelques temps que je ne vois plus ses lettres. Juste en dessous, il s'agit de Zek.
On the other side of the figure, we have at the top Dfek 🔽, one of my favorite Montreal artists, with this explosion of color lettering. Sure, on a wall that's over 12 years old, the colors have faded under the effect of sun and weather, but the style remains. Underneath, I have no idea who it could be.
De l'autre côté du personnage, on a en haut Dfek 🔽, un des mes artistes préférés sur Montréal, avec ces lettrages en forme d'explosion de couleurs. C'est sûr que sur un mur ayant plus de 12 ans, les couleurs ont passé sous l'effet du soleil et des intempéries, mais le style reste. En dessous, je ne sais pas du tout qui cela peut être.
Another unknown artist created the central multi-armed figure surrounded by two snakes, perhaps a sexy version of the goddess Shiva. Typing in her name, on the picture depicted her, the goddess often has a snake encircled around her neck. On this wall, these look much more menacing.
Un autre artiste inconnu a réalisé le personnage centrale à plusieurs bras entouré de deux serpents, peut être une version sexy de la déesse Shiva. En tapant son nom, sur ces représentations, la déesse a souvent un serpent entouré autour du cou. Ceux là ont l'air beaucoup plus menaçant.
