Here's my entry for the 197th edition of CCC's Street Art Contest with this wall done by M. Roboto and Ekié, and not visible in this photo also by TitiMcCoy. It's always cool to come across an alley like this while strolling the streets of Montreal. Nice surprise...
Voici mon entrée pour la 197ème édition du CCC's Street Art Contest avec ce mur de M. Roboto et Ekié, et non visible sur cette photo TitiMcCoy. C'est toujours cool de tomber sur une ruelle comme cela en se promenant dans les rues de Montréal. Belle surprise...
WHERE
On rue Latreille at the corner with Avenue Papineau in Montreal. As this is the wall of a cultural space Aussenwelt, I thought it was linked to an exhibition. But I can't find any mention of it on their site 🤔. I wanted to use the photo with the three works for the contest, but the part of TitiMcCoy is a bit too far away from the two others.
Dans la rue Latreille au coin avec l'Avenue Papineau à Montréal. Comme il s'agit du mur d'un espace culturel Aussenwelt, je pensais que c'était lié à une exposition. Mais je n'en trouve pas mention sur leur site 🤔. Je voulais utiliser la photo avec les trois œuvres qui composent ce mur, mais la partie de TitiMcCoy est un peu trop éloignée.

M. Roboto
We begin this wall from Papineau Avenue with the head of Charlie done by M. Roboto aka Raphaël Dairon. This was his last mural last year just before the cold weather. You may recognize this artist from my previous post as StreetArt #691) at the Legal Wall de Rouen.
Nous commençons ce mur en partant de l'avenue Papineau avec la tête de Charlie de M. Roboto aka Raphaël Dairon. Ce fut sa dernière murale avant l'arrivée du froid l'année dernière. Vous devez commencer à reconnaitre cet artiste dont je parle assez souvent, dont dans mon précédent post StreetArt #691) au Mur Légal de Rouen.
Ekié
Right next to it is Ekié, member of OTM Crew (aka Only The Makers) like the other two artists in this post. Superb stencil enhanced with colorful shapes.
Juste à côté, il s'agit Ekié, membre de OTM Crew (aka Only The Makers) comme les deux autres artistes de ce post. Superbe pochoir rehaussé de formes colorées.
TitiMcCoy
And we end with TitiMcCoy and his tribute to Nepal, a rapper who died in 2021. I didn't know him but as I write this post I'm listening to his music from his latest album Adieu Bahamas. TitiMcCoy took the cover photo but with a blue background. I've included one of the songs from the album at the end of the post.
Et nous terminons avec TitiMcCoy et son hommage à Népal, rappeur qui est mort en 2021. Je ne connaissais pas mais en écrivant ce post j'écoute sa musique de son dernier album Adieu Bahamas. TitiMcCoy a repris la photo de la pochette mais avec un fond bleu. Je vous ai mis à la fin du post une des chansons de l'album.
If you're observant, the photos in this post were taken twice. Because when I first passed through at the beginning of winter, the photo of TitiMcCoy's tribute was out of focus, all blurry. And I only went back two weeks ago. Right on the next brick wall is this banana, Banana Crew.
Si vous êtes observateur, les photos de ce post ont été prises en deux fois. Car lors de mon premier passage au début de l'hiver, la photo de l'hommage de TitiMcCoy était floue. Et je n'y suis retourné qu'il y a seulement deux semaines. Et juste sur le mur de briques suivant, il y a cette banane, Banana Crew.

M. Roboto never disappoints and Ekié is quite artistic. TitiMcCoy is a nice tribute to a good rapper, I too was not familar with...
