After the mural created by Bryan Beyung (see Street Art Contest #205), here's another mural done for the 2024 edition of the Mural Festival in Montreal by SNIKR, an artist who is very active in promoting StreetArt. It's perfect for entering the CCC's Street Art Contest #206, still hosted by @digi-me.

On the corner of rue Rachel and Avenue Hotel de Ville in Montreal. On this building was an old mural also produced during the Mural Festival by LSNR 🔽

SNIKR

SNIKR is a Canadian artist and muralist with a degree in animation. It's interesting to see artists with this educational background, and the same rendering can be found in murals such as Polographe. She's been painting walls for over 18 years. SNIKR is very involved in promoting StreetArt, especially with the creation of Style Over Status, an artists' collective based between Montreal and Ottawa.

SNIKR est une artiste et muraliste canadienne avec un diplôme en animation. C'est intéressant de voir les artistes qui ont suivi ce cursus scolaire, on retrouve le même fini dans les murales comme avec Polographe. Cela fait plus de 18 ans qu'elle peint des murs. SNIKR est très impliquée pour faire connaitre le StreetArt, surtout avec la création de Style Over Status, collectif d'artistes basé entre Montréal et Ottawa.

This mural is really very beautiful, with the color palette chosen and the various details. The integration of the work with the building is really well thought out, especially with the ochre-colored separation to emphasize the different height of the building. Very cool.

Cette murale est vraiment très belle avec la palette de couleurs choisie ou les différents détails. L'intégration de l'œuvre avec le bâtiment est vraiment étudiée surtout avec la séparation de couleur ocre pour souligner la haute différente. Très cool.

All the characters are really beautifully realized. I particularly like that raccoon. I don't know if he's trapped behind that grill or just happy to have that stock of cans*😀. **What do you think?

Tous les personnages sont vraiment superbement réalisés. J'aime particulièrement ce raton laveur. Je ne sais pas si il est pris au piège derrière cette grille ou simplement content d'avoir ce stock de canettes 😀. A votre avis ???
