Summer slowly settles in on the streets of Montreal. Activity at Legal Wall de Rouen is as intense as ever. Every week, the setting changes. And on sunny days, I pass by at least once a week on my way to work. It's perfect to introduce you to this spot , perfect for StreetArt lovers. This is my morning bike ride on Monday April 29.

L'été s'installe tranquillement dans les rues de Montréal. L'activité au Mur Légal de Rouen est toujours aussi intense. Chaque semaine le décor change. Et pendant les beaux jours, j'y passe au moins une fois par semaine en allant au travail. C'est parfait pour vous faire découvrir cet endroit parfait pour les amateurs de StreetArt. Il s'agit de ma balade matinale en vélo du lundi 29 avril.

WHO

We go around the Legal Wall of Rouen always in the same direction. It's hard to change habits 😀. Speaking of habits, usually the first wall is covered with more interesting works (in my opinion) but on this Monday April 29 that wasn't the case. You tell me what you think at the end of the post.

Nous faisons le tour du Mur Légal de Rouen toujours dans le même sens. C'est dur de changer des habitudes 😀. En parlant d'habitude, généralement le premier mur est couvert d'oeuvres plus intéressantes (à mon avis) mais en ce lundi 29 avril ce n'était pas le cas. Vous me direz qu'est que vous en pensez...

It seems that an artist has been practicing his calligraphy at the beginning of the wall with Until Then / That Was A Long Time Ago on a black background. Then, inside the viaduct, you can see the tiger head of the Polographe already present on my previous visit (see StreetArt #690). He's followed by Schwarz aka Chrys 🔽 artist loving mandalas.

Il semblerait qu'un artiste s'est entrainé à la calligraphie en début de mur avec Until Then / That Was A Long Time Ago sur un fond noir. Puis à l'intérieur du viaduc, on peut apercevoir la tête de tigre du Polographe déjà présente lors de mon précédent passage (voir StreetArt #690). Il est suivi par Schwarz aka Chrys 🔽 artiste aimant beaucoup les mandalas.

M. Roboto & Facies

Next to it, we have Robot Medusa by Raphael Dairon aka M.Roboto. It's always cool to see his futuristic universe. He was accompanied by another member of OTM Crew, Facies, a calligraphy artist as he describes himself on his Instagram account. I really like this type of lettering.

A côté, nous avons le Robot Méduse réalisé par Raphael Dairon aka M.Roboto. C'est toujours cool de voir son univers futuriste. Il était accompagné par un autre membre de OTM Crew, Facies, artiste calligraphie comme il se décrit sur son compte Instagram. J'apprécie beaucoup ce type de lettrage.

At the end of the first wall, we cross De Rouen street to see the most interesting works of the day. For once, it's on this wall... I thought there was a curse on this wall 😀. We're off to a gentle start with this lettering by Blast.

Fin du premier mur, nous traversons la rue De Rouen pour aller voir les oeuvres les plus intéressantes de la journée. Pour une fois que c'est sur ce mur... Je pensais qu'il y avait une malédiction 😀. On commence en douceur avec ce lettrage de Blast.

After that, it's heavy stuff... / FR : Après c'est du lourd... 😀

EkSept & Hospek

EkSept and Hospek have teamed up to do this Pink Panther lettering. This color palette is perfect for getting into summer mode after a long winter.

EkSept et Hospek se sont associés pour réaliser ce lettrage avec la Panthère Rose. Parfait cette palette de couleurs pour se mettre en mode été après un long hiver.

Omar Bernal

He's followed by Pedro the Raccoon, a meme that ran rampant a while back. I can see I'm getting old because I didn't even know 😅. Omar Bernal decided to pay tribute to him. Superb realization.

Il est suivi par Pedro le Raton Laveur, un mème qui a sévit il y a quelque temps. Je vois que je prends de l'âge car je ne connaissais même pas😅. Omar Bernal a décidé de lui rendre hommage. Superbe réalisation.

Aldarwin

Another Mexican-born artist, Aldarwin painted a new monster. I preferred his earlier, more colorful world of small characters trying to protect their belongings from a giant phantasmagorical animal.

Un autre artiste d'origine mexicaine, Aldarwin a peint un nouveau monstre. Je préférais son ancien univers plus coloré avec de petits personnages qui essayaient de protéger leurs biens contre un animal fantasmagorique géant.

Syrup

Gabriel Lenfesty aka Syrup continues to introduce us to Quebec birds such as the Wandering Grosbeak. It's a good thing he mentioned it on his post, otherwise I would have had to do some research to find the name of this bird. Fun fact: it can eat 96 sunflower seeds in five minutes.

Heureusement qu'il l'a indiqué sur son post, car sinon il m'aurait fallu quelques recherches pour trouver le nom de cet oiseau. Info marrante : il peut avaler 96 graines de tournesol en cinq minutes.

Penar & Co

We finish with Clo and his melon snake. I checked to see if this species really existed. For the animal kingdom dummies like me, this snake doesn't exist... too bad. It is followed by lettering from Penar. A favorite work?

Nous terminons avec Clo et son serpent melon. J'ai regardé si cette espèce existait vraiment. Pour les nuls comme moi du règne animal, ce serpent n'existe pas... dommage. Il est suivi par un lettrage de Penar. Une œuvre préférée ?
