To illustrate this week, I chose this mural done in 2019 by Montreal-based artist and tattooer Rouks. It's a tribute to French singer Julien Clerc. I don't know why it's in the Parc des Compagnons de Saint-Laurent on Bordeaux Street in Montreal 🤔
Pour illustrer cette semaine, j'ai choisi cette murale réalisée en 2019 par Rouks, artiste et tatoueur installé à Montréal. C'est pour rendre hommage au chanteur français Julien Clerc. Je ne sais pas la raison de sa présence dans le parc des Compagnons de Saint-Laurent sur la rue Bordeaux à Montréal.
It seems that the singer even came to sign the work. Montreal... Ma préférence refers to one of his hits Ma Préférence (Listen to it on Youtube).
Il semble même que le chanteur est venu dédicacer l'oeuvre. Montréal... Ma préférence fait référence à un de ses succès Ma Préférence (A écouter sur Youtube).

Each time a new part of this wall, one of the longest in the world for StreetArt located in Cotonou, Benin, is unveiled, it deserves to be in the Weekly StreetArt given the quality of the works. This week it's Dema with his calligraphy, and being a fan of this technique, I couldn't resist selecting him. And besides, as now @joetunex is in New Zealand, I'm hoping to see some StreetArt from the other side of the world 😀.
A chaque fois qu'une nouvelle partie de ce mur, un des plus long au monde pour le StreetArt se trouvant à Cotonou au Bénin, est dévoilée, elle mériterait d'être dans le Weekly StreetArt vu la qualité des œuvres. Cette semaine il s'agit de Dema avec sa calligraphie, étant fan de cette technique, je ne pouvais que le sélectionner. Et de plus, comme maintenant que @joetunex est en Nouvelle-Zélande, j'espère voir du StreetArt de l'autre bout du monde 😀.

We change continents by crossing the Atlantic to see this mural photographed by @parissousa in Buenos Aires. It's a beautiful work of art, but I notice that in both hemispheres we have the same problem when photographing StreetArt: there's always a garbage can and/or a car in front of it 😤.
Nous changeons de continent en traversant l'Atlantique pour aller voir cette murale photographiée par @parissousa à Buenos Aires. Très belle réalisation mais je remarque surtout quand dans les deux hemisphères, nous avons le même problème pour prendre en photo du StreetArt, toujours une poubelle ou/et une voiture devant 😤.

And we're off across the ocean to Germany to admire this wall created by The Phunk Masters photographed by @street-ar, a regular poster in our community 🙏. As with any computer program, it's been updated with a superb background. The lettering was already magnificent, but now it's even more so.
Et nous retraversons l'océan pour ce coup là aller en Allemagne et admirer ce mur réalisé par The Phunk Masters photographié par @street-ar, posteur assidu de notre communauté. Comme pour un programme informatique, il a eu le droit une mise à jour avec la réalisation d'un superbe fond. Les lettrages étaient déjà magnifiques, ils sont encore plus mis en valeur.

Great selections this week. I too REALLY like the first post with the calligraphy - very unique look. Nice mural in your intro too. I wasn't familar with the artist I followed the youtube link. How about that 70s hair? I think I like the younger Julien Clerc lol
