Is Banksy going Bananas on my Favorite Bridge?

No big piece or mural as you might expect it this time for CCC's Street Art Contest, but a lot of small ones resulting in one long piece i couldn't shoot in one piece, because i'm not having a drone with me on my morningwalks. I haven't measured it, but i know the bridge's total length is 77 meters and my estimate for the catwalk is about 60 meters.

This morning i crossed my favorite bridge like many times before, but this time something was different. First let me give you a little background for a better understanding of what I'm about to show you. On one side of the bridge is a catwalk for maintenance purposes, and fortunately for many people here, it is on the west, the sunset side of the bridge so in the summer time almost every evening people come here to hang out, drink, eat and enjoy the sunset sitting on the catwalk and sadly many times just ignorantly leave their trash and cigarette buds behind there on the catwalk of the bridge above our River Spree.

This time however someone left Bananas behind, a lot of them, not all of them finished and it looks like there are more to come. Ok, let's start with a picture of the bridge with the catwalk highlighted for some spatial context.

I was coming from the right, the south side, of the bridge and starting at somewhere near the word AXIROSIK this Black Banana Pattern caught my eye.

So i walked further keeping my eyes on the catwalk and there were more Black Bananas.

Suddenly, at about halfway across the bridge, that Black Banana Pattern turned into a Yellow Banana Pattern and i was immediately reminded of the Bananas i knew from some of Banksy's pieces.

I walked further across the bridge and the Yellow Banana Pattern went on until the end of the catwalk. What do you think, is it Banksy who's going Bananas on my favorite bridge here or just another copycat?

Then i went back to take these photos. My first idea for the title was "Bananas in Progress", because they're obviously not finished yet or maybe this is on purpose to start people thinking, i don't know, but i'll surely find out on one of the next times i cross that bridge. Until then i hope you liked going a little Bananas with me here and look forward to see you next time!

UPDATE

I crossed the bridge again, but no change to the Bananas. The Bananas initially appeared over the weekend so i guess there might be not happening anything more until next weekend. Nevertheless, I took the chance and climbed over the railing onto the catwalk to take a more complete photo of the whole piece.

Exactly, he keep the mistery on it but from what i know is a guy from U.K theres a documental about it, he went deep on politic/religión/culture and i think thats what make it so controversial.
