Antofagasta Street Art (En/Es)

In this post I share a series of photos that show a representative piece of the street art genre. It is painted on the back of a food truck, surrounded by tents of kiosks in a fair in the Chilean northern city of Antofagasta.

En esta publicación comparto una serie de fotografías de una muestra de arte urbano que encuentro bastante representativa de su estilo. Esta pintada en la parte trasera de un “food truck”, estacionado en una feria de diversos kioskos ubicados en carpas, en la ciudad chilena de Antofagasta.

The piece in itself shows in detail a face of a woman, in a typical style of the street art. Next to the face there is the word “love”, written in a very legible lettering, which it is not very frequent in the pieces of street art. There are some graffitis on it.

El mural en sí mismo muestra el rostro de una mujer en detalle y en un estilo muy típico del arte urbano, y al lado la palabra “love” escrita con un lettering muy legible, que no siempre es el caso. También destacan unos grafitis que lucen que fueron añadidos posteriormente.

If you observe in detail you can notice the rust on the truck (it is parked in front of the sea). In the last image we can see the surroundings of the painted and a dog next to it.

Si se observa en detalle, se notan los efectos del oxido en la carrocería del camión (está estacionado frente al mar). En la ultima imagen se ve la ubicación de la pintura y un perro cerca de la misma.

The photos were taken with the camera of a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and edited in Gimp.
