An Indigenous Face
This mural covers one of the many walls of San Agustín del Sur, a well-known neighborhood in Caracas, which strives to be seen from the sky, with its constant work to rescue its traditions, culture, and art. The actions they are carrying out are born from the heart of the community, where the murals recount their struggles.

Un Rostro Indígena Este mural reviste una de las tantas paredes de San Agustín del Sur, un barrio conocido en la ciudad de Caracas, que busca ser visto desde el cielo, con su constante trabajo para el rescate de sus tradiciones, cultura y arte. Las acciones que están realizando, nacen en el mismo seno de la comunidad, donde los murales cuentan sus luchas.
The neighborhood is a symbol of resilience and creativity. Each work, on every wall, highlights the weary and sometimes optimistic faces of its inhabitants. Great artists revive these testimonies in these works of art. And always, indigenous painting, represented by the Carib Indians, a warrior people. In this art, they are an emblematic example of their constant struggles.
El barrio es un símbolo de resistencia y creatividad. Cada obra, en cada muro, resaltan los rostros cansados y a veces optimistas de sus habitantes. Los grandes artistas son quienes reviven los testimonios en estas obras artísticas. Y siempre, la pintura indígena representada por los indios Caribes, pueblo guerrero. En este arte es un emblema de ejemplo por sus luchas constantes.
