After hiding under tables to clear the vanity store's infected, I picked a locked door while an infected thumped against it. I eliminated a female infected inside, grabbed supplies off an unturned body, escaped a horde via a high ledge, and followed bloody handprints to resume the beast's hunt.
So, the vanity store was like a nightmare, as those infected looked really scary standing around in the dim shadows. But still, I took care of one of them nearby using stealth and hid below the table again to break line of sight.
I waited there for another opportunity to take down that scariest infected who looked like a mummy wrapped in dirty bandages. And I got the opportunity as he turned his back to me, so I took it with a silent execution.
I had to hide below the table again as more infected from the store saw me moving in the dark room. And then I took them one by one as they were leaving my hiding spot, all with stealth.
At last, I reached this door that an infected was thumping on continuously from this side. And I picked the lock with my tools, keeping my hands steady despite the loud slamming vibrations.
After opening the door, there came another infected from the other side, and it's a lady rushing forward. This tells me it was her boyfriend on this other side thumping the wood, and I took care of her real quick.
After getting inside the rear storage area, I found a dead body there who didn't turn into a monster but bled out early. And there were some supplies around that I grabbed real fast.
After getting out of the store into the open air, some infected started chasing me across the courtyard. And you can see how desperate they were trying to reach me while I was hanging on that ledge just above their fingertips.
And I got back on the beast's trace once more after pulling myself up onto the rooftop framework. And I found more bodies on my way, torn apart by something possessing incredible, inhuman strength.
It become a lot easier to map out the creature's pathing as the beast left his thumbprints with blood stains on the roofs. And I started following them through the town, leaping across the narrow street gaps.

Playing hide-and-seek under the tables with those infected was an incredibly tense strategy. That mummy like monster is really scary. I could see even his eyes were glowing.
You spent half the mission hiding under tables like a kid playing hide & seek, but hey, it completely dismantled an entire room of infected. Great strategy.
That infected guy was thumping on the door like a polite neighbor but you messed it up and let his girlfriend rushed out. That's not okay, lol.
The beast is apparently very polite for a terrifying monster, as its leaving bright handprints everywhere so you don't get lost on the rooftops. You should thank the beast after finding it.
You did an amazing job transitioning the gameplay back into a high-stakes investigation phase. Following those bloody handprints across the rooftops makes for a fantastic tracking trail.
