Los libros, esos que ya muchos no desean tener en sus manos por ser más práctico el leer en tablas o en el teléfono, creo que tanto lo uno como lo otro tiene sus ventajas y desventajas. Ahora, ¿qué representan los libros para mí?, ¿qué importancia les doy?
Recuerdo que cuando era una niña en edad escolar mi madre me enseñó a amar y respetar los libros ¿a qué me refiero con esto?, mi madre me decía que si quería subrayar un libro podía hacerlo, pero con un lápiz y bolígrafo sin dañarlo o hacerlo lucir poco estético, jamás se me permitió arrancar la hoja de un libro o recortarlo, eso estaba de verdad prohibido, primero porque se dañaba y segundo, este libro podía ser nuevamente útil para mí o para alguien más en un futuro.
Recordaba todas estas enseñanzas cuando visitaba las bibliotecas en busca de información y encontraba muchas veces que la página en la que estaba la información que estaba buscando había sido arrancada del ejemplar que estaba en mis manos. Así como también recordaba esas notas de sabiduría cuando use más de una vez en casa un libro de Historia de Venezuela que mi madre utilizo cuando era una estudiante de secundaria.
Ahora bien, los libros para mí representan una fuente de sabiduría, mundos, experiencias y de educación, esto dependerá de que libro tengas en tus manos o que propósito lo leas, ya sea total o parcialmente, por ejemplo, cuando era niña existían las enciclopedias escolares que eran bien gruesas y allí estaba contenida, o debería, toda la información que veríamos durante el año escolar.
Al ingresar bachillerato o secundaria cada materia requería además de un libro, tal vez alguno más como es el caso de Castellano y Literatura en el que en cada lapso como forma de evaluación nos pedían leer algún libro, por lo regular una novela, como Juan Salvador Gaviota, Cien años de Soledad o El General en su Laberinto.
Pero de entre los libros que para mí son especiales uno sobresale por sobre todos y lo hará de por vida y es La Biblia. La he leído en repetidas oportunidades y en diferentes versiones y nunca dejo de aprender algo.
Pero ¿por qué considero importantes los libros y la lectura en general?, sé que un libro físico, digital, periódico o cualquier otro, porque nos permite aprender a tener compresión lectora y esto solo se logra leyendo a veces más de una vez, pero es algo que considero valioso para la vida de cualquier persona, también enriquece el lenguaje, eso sí lo queremos porque al encontrarnos ante una palabra desconocida buscamos información al respecto y por última cultura general, recuerdo que cuando yo estudiaba administración, tenía un novio él no era bachiller, pero tenía un amplio vocabulario y conocía de muchas materias y noticias, el motivo de todo ello era que leía, actualmente logro además de graduarse de bachiller, estudiar una carrera profesional, pero el que antes de ello tuviera todo lo que mencione es prueba de que el leer es una manera grandiosa de enriquecer nuestro ser.
Por otra parte, en cuanto a si prefiero libros en físicos o digitales, creo que cada uno tiene sus ventajas, los físicos, que confieso son mis preferidos nos permiten atesorarlos y si queremos subrayar nuestras partes favoritas y para mí uno de los mejores olores del mundo es el de un libro nuevo, pero también llega el momento en el que si tenemos muchos dejamos de disponer del espacio para resguardarlos, sin olvidar que con el tiempo se deterioran y atraen los ácaros, en cuanto a los libros digitales son una buena opción para no llenarnos de libros en casa y evitar alergias, pero al sufrir de la vista creo que esto podría, al menos a mí, causarme más problemas, ya que solemos abusar del brillo de estos dispositivos.
En resumen, los libros son un mar de sabiduría y aventuras, de conocimientos de lecciones y sin duda una fuente para crecer en muchos ámbitos, por ello es tan triste para mi ver como ahora muchos prefieren disfrutar cada vez menos de un libro y la mayoría de los jóvenes estudiantes realizan todas sus investigaciones son vía internet, pero es algo que forma parte de estos tiempos en los que el internet y los equipos electrónicos, que mas que un lujo son una necesidad, ¿o los hemos convertido en ello?

Books, those that many no longer wish to hold in their hands because it is more practical to read on tablets or on the phone, I believe that both have their advantages and disadvantages. Now, what do books mean to me, what importance do I give them?
I remember when I was a school girl my mother taught me to love and respect books, what do I mean by this, my mother told me that if I wanted to underline a book I could do it, but with a pencil and pen without damaging it or making it look unaesthetic, I was never allowed to tear the page of a book or cut it out, that was really forbidden, first because it was damaged and second, this book could be useful again for me or for someone else in the future.
I remembered all these teachings when I visited libraries in search of information and often found that the page where the information I was looking for was located had been torn out of the copy in my hands. I also remembered those notes of wisdom when I used more than once at home a book of Venezuelan History that my mother used when she was a high school student.
Now, books for me represent a source of wisdom, worlds, experiences and education, this will depend on what book you have in your hands or what purpose you read it, either totally or partially, for example, when I was a child there were school encyclopedias that were very thick and there was contained, or should be, all the information that we would see during the school year.
When we entered high school or middle school, each subject required a book, maybe one more, as in the case of Spanish and Literature, where in each period as a form of evaluation we were asked to read a book, usually a novel, such as Juan Salvador Gaviota, Cien años de Soledad or El General en su Laberinto (The General in his Labyrinth).

But why do I consider books and reading in general important, I know that a physical book, digital, newspaper or any other, because it allows us to learn to have reading comprehension and this is only achieved by reading sometimes more than once, but it is something that I consider valuable for the life of any person, it also enriches the language, we do want it because when we find ourselves before an unknown word we seek information about it and finally general culture, I remember that when I was studying administration, I had a boyfriend, he was not a high school graduate, but he had a wide vocabulary and knew about many subjects and news, the reason for all this was that he read, now he has managed to graduate from high school and study a professional career, but the fact that before that he had everything I mentioned is proof that reading is a great way to enrich our being.
On the other hand, as to whether I prefer physical or digital books, I think each one has its advantages, the physical ones, which I confess are my favorite, allow us to treasure them and if we want to underline our favorite parts and for me one of the best smells in the world is that of a new book, but there also comes a time when if we have many we no longer have the space to store them, not to mention that over time they deteriorate and attract dust mites, as for digital books are a good option to not fill our home with books and avoid allergies, but suffering from the view I think this could, at least to me, cause more problems, as we tend to abuse the brightness of these devices.
In summary, books are a sea of wisdom and adventures, of knowledge of lessons and without a doubt a source to grow in many areas, that is why it is so sad for me to see how now many prefer to enjoy less and less a book and most of the young students do all their researches are via internet, but it is something that is part of these times in which the internet and electronic equipment, that more than a luxury are a necessity, or have we turned them into it?

Hola compañera, por acá tenes otra alma que ama los libros en cualquiera de sus formatos. Me encanta tener mis favoritos en físico y leer en digital todo aquello que me despierte curiosidad para seguir adquiriendo conocimientos.
La verdad es que no concibo un mundo sin libros, así que siempre me pone feliz ver que somos muchos los que los amamos y pensamos lo mismo que expresaste con tus palabras en la publicación.

Hola preciosa, la verdad, yo tampoco concibo un mundo sin libros, para mí es tan importante la lectura y fíjate que aunque no leo como otros, sé la importancia que tiene la lectura para todos ser humano y sobre todo el comprender lo que está leyendo, porque de no poseer comprensión lectora esa persona solo ve un momento de letras sobre un fondo y será muy poco lo que procese de esa lectura, un abrazo grandote y muchas gracias por tu visita.

Mi relación con los libros ha sido algo traumática, puede ser porque soy un ser que me distraigo fácilmente y el quedarme largo rato leyendo me aburro. Claro, también depende de la historia. Cuando aparecieron los e-books me resultaron más atractivos, pero los audiolibros son lo mío. Cuando estaba en mi época de exámenes yo podía leerme las clases, los libros y me costaba una esférica asimilar los conocimientos, pero si yo escuchaba a un compañero hablar sobre lo estudiado o si mi madre me leía algún tema que iba para los interrogatorios o exámenes yo los asimilaba de una forma extraordinaria. Vengo de una familia en la que siempre se asignaba una habitación, era para los libros, era donde se estudiaba. No sabes cuanto odiaba ese sitio, me parecía sumamente frío. Hoy en día soy feliz con mis audiolibros y con mis e-books, no ocupan espacio, son fáciles de digerir y me entregan igual el esparcimiento y el conocimiento.

Cada ser humano es único, por lo que veo que tú eres superauditivo, más que yo. Nunca he probado con un audio libro, pero después de escucharte creo que sería algo que podría intentar.
