TBT AT THE VILLAGE DURING THE HOLIDAY

in Throwback Thursday4 months ago (edited)

The day was bright, but one could still feel the chills in the weather. It was a cold but sunny day. We all sat on the porch of the house with a good view of everyone coming and going on the road.

The only remedy I had was a hot whiskey to keep me company. It was actually a boring day, so I thought of many things to do to spice it up.

I ended up using the ax to break wood. It’s a technical job that required me to be careful to avoid hurting myself or anyone around because the ax had no strong grip—just a smooth pole that could fly away if I made a mistake while swinging.

I finally got to rest while watching my niece play in the sand. She actually spent hours filling the container with sand and emptying it. I had to stop her and send her to wash her hands because she is used to sucking her thumb.

After that, I went straight to the traditional kitchen to make a fire with the wood to boil water for bathing because of the freezing weather. It was actually a stressful experience because I had to continuously blow the fire to keep it on until it was stable. I ended up sleeping for the rest of the day.

Villages are always special for me. Because I am a city boy so I love to visit natural fields and the iconic places and the beautiful houses of people.

That mean we both shear the same idea of view.
