This is me on my special day.
throwback Thursday is a day to forever remember, because it was the day my family sent me off to go be with the love of my life. This is a traditional practice in this side of my country, Nigeria. It's a day when parents send their female child to her husband's house. Let me tell you a little about how we planned this special day of mine.
So we started preparing for this day for, like, three months; we bought new clothes and food items and printed some invitation cards to invite people. And this particular occasion is always celebrated on a Thursday. Thursday is always a special day to me, as it was a day I was sent to my husband's house by my family.

I was very happy because I was going to start a new life with the love of my life. I mean, who wouldn't be happy about such a day? It was a celebration day.
There was food and drinks in abundance for our friends and family who came from far and near just to share in our joy or to celebrate with us on our special day.
It is a day to forever remember 🤗. We had a dance together and many more, so every Thursday is like my anniversary day. Thank you for reading through.

By the way, I understood the event. I think it is followed by the reception ceremony of wedding when bride go back to her parents home and the next day groom comes to take her ? Is that so?
