I am writing this post so that I have more up to date documentation for the Hive Report Card. I am now in a state where I am happy with the implemented features. I thank the members of the Hive Blockchain for their support and enthusiasm for this tool. If you wish to express this, you can support my witness node.

Features
Summary Cards (Improved!)
Results below are from my own account:
You will notice that there are now emojis, content classification, and a new metric - posts per week!
Astute observers will also notice that the word count calculation is improved. This was due to some bugs in the regex that was counting words.
Top 5 Longest Breaks and Streaks (New!)
Interested to know when you were idle or super active? You can now go tell!
Analytics by Period (NEW!!!)
This table is the brainchild of @azircon , and it makes so much sense to have available, when I see it before my eyes. I struggled to understand what value it would bring at first, but now that I see it, I think it speaks for itself.
This feature will prove very valuable for onboarding projects and people who refer people to HIVE, as they will be able to keep a close eye on the activity of their new users, or the users they are helping to foster.
Words and Images Per Post (Filtering by Time Periods)
You can now zoom into the charts that have a time series, and change the resolution by Day,Week,Month or Year.
If you prefer to see them as cards, that is implemented as well.
More Chart Zoom and filtering by time period
Engagement by Various Metrics
Take a look and see which of your posts gather the most engagement based on their readability, word count, or content-type.
Post Archive and Export
Ability to export your archive of posts with the data enrichment that the dashboard completes.

If you're still reading... I'm cooking something up for comments, because there was interest in the ... uh, comments on this tool. I will be taking a different approach for comments, so watch this space...
The below will not be available for some time as I work further on it.
That's really great - ironed out some of the anomalies that were appearing - I was getting 3% posts over 2,000 words ... but there were no posts over 2,000 words. It seems much more internally consistent now. I had done an analysis over the weekend to look at patterns of bridging and bonding social capital and for a horrible moment I thought it was redundant, but no, the new extra panel you've introduced confirmed what I had found 😂.
The comment analyser looks interesting. As I mentioned before I would be interested in the flesch-kincaid analysis of comments, because I'm interested in looking at engagement, retention and how social capital is built. Perhaps rather than analysing every comment, there could be an option to analyse comments on a selected post? For the analysis I'm talking about above, I've copied over the comments - a sample of 69 comments from two posts - and I'm analysing them individually.
I'm wondering how you're going to manage the bot comments and other forms of spam, like the very lengthy replies from some accounts that are to do with disputes elsewhere, rather than engaging with the content of the post they are commenting on.
It also looks beautiful.
It is a possibility :) The comment analysis is more for others to sneaky-peak on who an author is talking to on the regular. It's all public data anyway, on chain.
I want to take a bit of a break from looking at code before I delve too deeply into comment analytics further - but in short, I plan on being far less tactful when it comes to reviewing comments. :P
Something along the lines of:
if comment *only* calls layer 2 bot, mark "shit comment" if comment non-unique mark "unoriginal" if comment only gif mark "meme comment" if comment unique and >50 words "great comment" if comment unique and >100 words "waffled a bit" if comment unique and >250 words "..."
Then calculate percentages and based on the score, give them an actual school grade ;)
But this is ambition, but reality. Give it time, it may become reality :)
And the comment data may have dollar signs involved, because there is a lot of potential for abuse on comments as they are not nearly as visible as posts.
That looks like a good analysis and would provide the basis for further investigation (if anyone was interested) :P
No rush here for comment analysis, whenever you're ready.
Loving this tool, thank you for creating it. Also I voted for your witness.
The new report view, you might want to change the "first year" to measure the first 365 days instead of the calendar year. On mine it shows less posts in the first year than in the first 6 months.
Fantastic find. Clearly explained. I will put it on my list of things to fix, and it will go right to the very top.
In my new vision, the years aren't tied to the calendar, but the user's first post date.
Such great updates. My report looks much better now in every way. Seems to have a better image count too.
I like the added period analysis, that way I can see what happened in specific timeframes.
Looking forward to see the comment card as I tend to write long comments especially in the past. Due to moving countries a few times in short periods I had and have not much time right now. So would be great to see what happened over the time I have been on Hive.
Well done!
It looks good.
Great, thank you for the confirmation that things seem to be working better now!
I too am a fan of writing long-winded, engaging comments. I'm trying to put myself in rehab for that. Meaning can happen in few words, so I'm getting better at that.
Good luck with the move, and thank you for the continued support and engagement!
You are welcome.
Me too, sometimes they were even longer than a post haha.
That way (long comments that seem to keep going for years) we can connect with people from all over the world better and get to know them, even support them when needed. Even when it is on-line forever… Hive is so much more than just is visible on the surface. (Not for all… but some)
Thank you, Friday we start driving 9 days - 3500km south. Sleeping in a tent next to the fully loaded van. (Crazy in many ways..) Here… it is already freezing 🥶 , luckily it gets warmer the more south we get.
I know those type of posts you're talking about. It ended up with me getting sent a portrait of me made by an incredible artist who sadly, doesn't post on the platform anymore. I miss them. The portrait hangs on the hallway in a frame, my wife loves it.
The longest I've driven in a single day / session is about 800KM / 13 hours, but the most recent time I did that, I did it in my new Station Wagon, with a friend, on the way to a concert, and it was a wonderful road trip.
We at least had a hotel on the other end of the road.
Where are you coming from, and where are you going?
That’s awesome. Great you still have it, those things are precious. A shame they are not on Hive anymore, some good people disappeared for me too.
Ps. I’m an artist myself.
My van (Beth) is from 2012 and an old lady haha so I won't be driving to fast fully loaded to the limits with her. So about 400km -ish a day is what we will do.
Don’t think I would drive that much in one day… luckily we have time to take it easy.
We are in northern Sweden and going to south west France. (I am Dutch, but born in France)
That sounds like a blog and a half, and a good opportunity to see stuff all along the way. :)
So funny, I just discovered your app a few days ago, did a post yesterday and now there are a lot of new features to discover! Congrats on your work and thanks for developing such tools.
I wanted this tool, so I built it. :D
I think this one is "done" - I've been working on something for comments this evening, but I do want to focus on a few creative posts for the time being, especially with what is in store for the rest of my week (I have my solo Art Exhibition opening as part of the town's art festival!)
Looking forward to that comment analyzer! It's neat to see how many cool tools have been developed lately. Seems like more and more people are interested in their (or others') HIVE data.
Data hides nothing! :D Data IS the TRUTH!
I like the look of this tool and I shall very much like to use this again and again, different periods of time and to take a deeper approach to how I write and what I write. The analysis was rather interesting. Nicely built!
Great, I can't wait for that. I remember you mentioning these on the Topcomment Discord server.
Thank you for making this website better every day.
My brain is too full of ideas and love for hive. I want it to be the BEST place.
