Hola chicos! | Hi guys!
Por lo general los fines de semana los uso para dedicárselos a mi casa. Estos días de descanso los aproveché para acomodar el cuarto que usarán mis papás cuando vengan a visitarnos acá en Brasil. Ese cuarto era destinado anteriormente como "cuartico del desorden", incluso la conejita de mi hija vivía ahí 😂. Tuvimos un problema con unos animalitos que infectaron a Tomasa, que es el nombre de la coneja, y decidimos regalarla para poder controlar la plaga.
Como vivimos en una granja de cerdos no se nos permite tener animales cerca de las instalaciones de la granja y mi casa está al lado de los chiqueros, por lo que no podíamos tenerla afuera. Por eso es que la opción que vimos más viable fue regalarla a una persona conocida. Ahora la nueva casa de ella es con la madrina de Amanda, mi hija. Así cuando mi bebé quiera ir a visitarla podemos ir y estamos seguras de que está siendo bien cuidada.
Después que hicimos la limpieza y fumigamos, venía el proceso de arreglar y darle un aire de cuarto. Entonces hoy limpié y saqué todo lo que no se quedaría en el cuarto. Tenía muchos materiales para manualidades y cosas que no son usadas en la casa. Seleccioné algunas cosas para botarlas, para donación, otras las coloqué en el sótano y el restante lo puse en otro cuarto esperando una inspiración para ver que haré con ellas.
Usually on weekends I use them to dedicate them to my house. I took advantage of these days off to accommodate the room that my parents will use when they come to visit us here in Brazil. That room was previously used as a 'messy room', even my daughter's bunny lived there 😂. We had a problem with some animals that infected Tomasa, which is the name of the rabbit, and we decided to give her away in order to control the plague.
As we live on a pig farm we are not allowed to keep animals near the farm premises and my house is next to the pig pens so we couldn't keep her outside. That is why the option that we saw as the most viable was to give it to a known person. Now her new house is with Amanda's godmother, my daughter. So when my baby wants to go visit her we can go and we are sure that she is being well taken care of.
After we did the cleaning and fumigation, came the process of fixing it up and giving it a room air. So today I cleaned and removed everything that would not stay in the room. I had a lot of craft materials and things that are not used in the house. I selected some things to throw away, for donation, others I placed in the basement and the rest I put in another room waiting for an inspiration to see what I will do with them.
Hace un mes compré una cama matrimonial para mis padres, pero la tenía guardada en mi cuarto. Mi hermano y mi cuñada me ayudaron a pasar la cama al cuarto. Con eso después Amanda y yo escogimos las sábanas que le colocaríamos.
En ese proceso descubrimos una sábana que podríamos usar en nuestra cama que es Queen, siempre pensé que esa sábana era matrimonial 🤦♀ jejejeje. También colocamos una cortina para tapar la ventana y el ambiente quedó muy agradable. Para estar listo solo nos faltan las almohadas y comprar un closet para guardar ropa.
A month ago I bought a double bed for my parents, but I kept it in my room. My brother and sister-in-law helped me move the bed into the room. With that, Amanda and I then chose the sheets that we would put on her.
In that process we discovered a sheet that we could use on our Queen bed, I always thought that sheet was double 🤦♀ hehehehe. We also put a curtain to cover the window and the atmosphere was very pleasant. To be ready we only need the pillows and buy a closet to store clothes.
Además, pienso colocar también mi área de trabajo dentro de ese cuarto mientras mis papás no están en la casa. En este lugar podré continuar el curso de costura que estoy haciendo y sentarme a escribir mis posts.
En un futuro no muy lejano estoy pensando en reformar el piso de ese cuarto y de mi cuarto, que son las únicas partes de mi casa que tienen piso de madera.
El piso está en condiciones que no me agradan y también está pintado con un color rojo que quiero quitar. Mi plan es lijarlo todo y poder cambiar el color a un color natural de madera.
Actualmente estoy investigando como puedo hacer esta reforma de la mejor manera. Posteriormente espero traerles el antes y el después del piso.
In addition, I plan to also place my work area inside that room while my parents are not at home. In this place I will be able to continue the sewing course that I am doing and sit down to write my posts.
In the not too distant future I am thinking of renovating the floor in that room and in my room, which are the only parts of my house that have a wooden floor.
The floor is in a condition that I don't like and it is also painted a red color that I want to remove. My plan is to sand it all down and be able to change the color to a natural wood color.
I am currently investigating how I can do this reform in the best way. Later I hope to bring you the before and after of the apartment.
Estamos muy animados con la visita de mis papás. Aún no les hemos comprado los pasajes, pero estimamos que entre abril y mayo deben estar aquí.
Yo tengo casi cuatro años sin verlos y mi hija no los conoce en persona, por lo que pueden imaginarse lo que deseamos esta visita. Ahora Los dejo con fotos del cuarto y me despido. ¡Hasta la próxima!
We are very encouraged by the visit of my parents. We haven't bought the tickets yet, but we estimate that between April and May they should be here.
