No se imaginan lo que me ocurrió hace días, específicamente hace dos días.
You can't imagine what happened to me days ago, specifically two days ago.
Estaba distraída, descalza en casa, pues, estaba de descanso hasta en pijama todavía, y en eso que voy camino a mi cuarto, no estaba viendo por donde iba pasando, pues, en teoría, yo pensaba que ya tenía todo el espacio calculado ya que es mi casa, y creí como es costumbre ya uno en su casa camina sin ver por donde va porque "conoce" los espacio, pero no fue así, no calcule bien y le he metido el pie de frente a la pata de un mueble.
I was distracted, barefoot at home, well, I was resting even in my pajamas, and when I was on my way to my room, I was not watching where I was going, well, in theory, I thought I had all the space calculated since it is my house, and I thought as usual one in your home walks without seeing where you are going because you "know" the space, but it was not so, I did not calculate well and I have put my foot in front of the leg of a piece of furniture.
Un mueble que siempre está en el mismo sitio, no fue que lo movieron de lugar. Pero lo peor no fue eso, lo peor fue que yo sentí y escuché cuando el dedito me hizo "track". 😧 Dioosss qué dolor tan insoportable, mis gritos no eran normales y por supuesto empecé a llorar del dolor y del miedo de saber que posiblemente tenía el dedo fracturado.
Mi grito fue tan fuerte y terrorífico que mi mamá y mi novio que estaban en la casa corrieron a ver que me ocurría, menos mal ellos estaban cerca y me ayudaron a contenerme.
A piece of furniture that is always in the same place, it wasn't that it was moved. But the worst was not that, the worst was that I felt and heard when the little finger made me "track". 😧 Dioosss what unbearable pain, my screams were not normal and of course I started crying from the pain and the fear of knowing that I possibly had a fractured finger.
My scream was so loud and terrifying that my mom and boyfriend who were in the house ran to see what was happening to me, thank goodness they were nearby and helped me contain myself.
Al ver que yo cada vez lloraba más y mi dedo se iba inflamando cada vez más y más, mi novio decidió llevarme a la clínica. Yo como les comenté estaba en pijama, con todo el dolor y con ayuda de él y mi mamá como pude me cambie y nos fuimos.
Seeing that I was crying more and more and my finger was getting more and more inflamed, my boyfriend decided to take me to the clinic. As I told you, I was in my pajamas, with all the pain and with the help of him and my mom as I could, I changed and we left.
Cabe destacar que el trayecto desde mi casa a la clínica más cercana es algo largo, pues, yo vivo a las afueras de la ciudad.
It is worth mentioning that the trip from my house to the nearest clinic is a long one, since I live on the outskirts of the city.
Antes de salir mi mamá me dio 100mg de diclofenac potásico y me coloco una compresa de hielo que la verdad me ayudaron mucho a ir calmando el dolor en la vía, sin embargo, los nervios que yo llevaba de pensar que podían tener que operarme y de pensar en los gastos que todo eso iba a implicar me hacían llorar y llorar más y más.
Before leaving my mom gave me 100mg of diclofenac potassium and put me an ice pack that really helped me a lot to soothe the pain in the IV, however, the nerves that I had to think that they might have to operate me and to think of the expenses that all this was going to involve made me cry and cry more and more.
Aquí en la ciudad existe el centro especializado en cirugía ortopédica y traumatología (CECOT) y allí fue donde nos dirigimos, pues, era el más cercano y ahí todos los doctores son traumatólogos. Me tranquilicé cuando vi que el doctor que estaba de guardia era el especialista en lesiones deportivas y además tenían los equipos para hacerme de una vez las radiografías necesarias.
Here in the city there is a center specialized in orthopedic surgery and traumatology (CECOT) and that is where we went, since it was the closest one and all the doctors there are traumatologists. I was reassured when I saw that the doctor on duty was a specialist in sports injuries and also had the equipment to take the necessary x-rays at once.
En la imagen radiográfica claramente se ve la fractura de uno de los huesitos, tal cual yo había sentido que se había roto. Dios que cosa más terrible, no se la deseo a nadie.
The x-ray image clearly shows the fracture of one of the bones, just as I had felt it had broken. God, what a terrible thing, I would not wish it on anyone.
Afortunadamente, el Doctor al revisarme y al revisar la radiografía me explicó que efectivamente tenía una fractura, pero que gracias a Dios no había desplazamiento de las partes óseas, por lo tanto, no era necesario ni operar ni poner yeso, solamente me iban a colocar una ferulización con vendas para inmovilizar el dedo hasta que se recuperará por completo.
Fortunately, when the doctor checked me and reviewed the x-ray he explained that I did indeed have a fracture, but thank God there was no displacement of the bony parts, therefore, it was not necessary to operate or put a cast, I was only going to place a splint with bandages to immobilize the finger until it recovered completely.
Entonces aquí estoy amigos, con el dedo inmóvil, un poco adolorido todavía y así tendré que mantenerme por unas 3 semanas hasta que el doctor me vuelva a revisar y me diga si ya me quitan todas las vendas o no.
So here I am, my friends, with my toe still immobile, still a little sore and I will have to stay like this for about 3 weeks until the doctor checks me again and tells me if all the bandages are removed or not.
Por los momentos me mantengo de reposo aunque tengo permiso de apoyar el talón, pero evitó hacerlo porque aún me duele bastante, estoy tomando analgésico y colocando y hielo dando chance a que mis huesitos sanen solos.
At the moment I am resting, although I am allowed to rest my heel, but I avoid doing it because it still hurts a lot, I am taking painkiller and putting ice on it, giving my bones a chance to heal by themselves.
Quería compartir esto con ustedes porque la verdad fue algo que jamás pensé que me pasaría de esta forma y para que tengan siempre cuidado de por donde caminan aun cuando ya conozcan el sitio.
