As I have mentioned in my previous posts. I work in the capture fisheries sector, and often do outside activities to mingle with fishermen and with the local community.
Well, a few days ago the Lhokseumawe city government held a special Farmers' Market event for the Lhokseumawe city area. This farmer's market is an activity that specifically involves local farmers and all related agencies, one of which is our office which is directly involved in organizing the event. Well, I've been appointed to the event planning committee as an event content creator, namely capturing several pictures during the event.
Before the event started, the mayor gave a few directions and welcoming words to the people who came. And the best moment is that this farmer's market event will officially open in this city. Well, usually this farmer's market takes place at the provincial level. When I was in the city of Bandar Aceh, I often saw this event regularly taking place there. Gradually, the city of Lhokseumawe became a more advanced city, able to participate in and continue this Farmers' Market event which was very beneficial for various levels of local society. In order to introduce that there are lots of local products in one's own region so that people don't need to buy goods from outside regions, so this builds and revives the community's economy.
The event was very lively and very busy with farmers, both in the agricultural and fisheries sectors. They prepare agricultural and fishery products, both fresh and processed products. There are lots of things they prepare, especially processed products. They sell various types of processed fishery and agricultural products.
Local people are very busy visiting this place because the agricultural products that are sold fresh here are sold at prices that are cheaper than market prices. So many levels of society are enthusiastic about buying some of their necessities, especially kitchen necessities, which are very complete and varied. Starting from cooking spices, vegetables to various types of fish.
There are even various types of living plants such as flowers and ornamental plants. Very diverse, definitely very fun, interestingly, the price is very affordable and anyone can buy it at a price below the usual market price.
Friends, this is my journey to carry out farmer's market activities. A very positive event in my work environment. and I am very happy to take part in this event. What's interesting is that because of this event, I, as a content creator, am very selective in capturing various moments when this event takes place. There are many things that need to be immortalized because moments like this really influence the progress of a region. Even positively, I as a government worker also feel that this is an activity that can increase the progress of urban communities in thinking that the world of fisheries and agriculture has great opportunities in the current and future environment. coming. I also really hope that other cities will also take part in organizing this event as we did.
