Greetings community, a few days ago together with my work team we went on a field trip related to our scientific project, which consists of carrying out a geo-environmental study of the Almendares basin, which is the most important in Havana because it coincides spatially with the Almendares - Vento underground basin, which is the one that supplies water to the Cuban capital.
As you can see, it is a project of great social and economic importance for our country, and it has been carried out for 10 years, studying tributary after tributary, and this year a comprehensive generalisation of all that has been investigated at this time will be carried out.
Our objective that day was to visit some of the tributaries in the northern part of the basin, namely the Limón and San Francisco rivers.
As we were in a season of low rainfall in our country, the tributaries were a little dry, but we were able to appreciate elements that were sufficient for our investigation.
In this type of work, the most important thing is to take water samples and then analyse them in a laboratory to obtain a result that will tell us if the water is polluted or not.
Although we also observe various elements of nature such as vegetation, soil, fauna and soil morphometry.

Saludos comunidad , hace unos días junto a mi equipo de trabajo realizamos una salida de campo relacionada con nuestro proyecto científico , el cual consiste de realizar un estudio geoambiental a la cuenca Almendares , la cual es la más importante de La Habana debido a que coincide espacialmente con la cuenca subterránea Almendares - Vento que es la que abastece de agua a la capital cubana.
Como ven es un proyecto que tiene una gran importancia social y económica para nuestro país , y se ha realizado desde hace 10 años , estudiándose afluentes tras afluente y este año ya se realizara una generalización integral de todo lo investigado en esta época .
Ese dia nuestro objetivo era el de visitar algunos afluentes que se encuentran en la parte norte de la cuenca , los cuales fueron los ríos : Limón y San Francisco .
Al encontrarnos en temporada de pocas precipitaciones en nuestro país , los afluentes se encontraban un poco secos , pero pudimos apreciar elementos que nos bastaban para nuestra investigación .
En estos tipos de trabajo lo mas importante son la toma de muestras de agua para luego ser analizadas en un laboratorio obteniéndose asi un resultado que nos dirá si las aguas se encuentran contaminadas o no .
Aunque tambien observamos varios elementos de la naturaleza como la vegetación , el suelo , la fauna y la morfometria del suelo .
Realmente adoro mi trabajo .
