Greetings and blessings, friends. I hope you are doing very well, in good health, with lots of love and taking the well-deserved rest of these first days of the New Year, together with your loved ones.
After the Christmas festivities, we start the new year with our first outing of 2024, and what better way to start than sharing together, as a family.
Since the afternoon of December 31, when it even hailed in the area where I live, it has not rained again. The sky has remained clear and has given us a few days of radiant sunshine this new year, which we have been able to make the most of during our walks with the dogs. Likewise, we wanted to take advantage of the afternoon, which was also illuminated with a wonderful light that invited us to go out and enjoy the delicious weather that characterizes Bogota these days.
We got ready for our outing and took an Uber to the Andino shopping mall, one of the ones we like the most and which we had not gone to at night to see the Christmas lights around. Of course, we started taking pictures of our outing to save these moments in images full of love and enjoyment.
The mall was beautifully lit both inside and out. I love going out to see these lights around the city, everything looks so beautiful. I already started to feel a kind of nostalgia because in a few days they take down the lights and decorations and everything goes back to normal.
Here in Colombia, it is customary to remove everything in homes from January 1. I, as I did in Venezuela, will remove it after January 21, day of Santa Inés, patron saint of my land Cumanesa.
After walking around for a while, we sat down for dinner and then had some Crepes&Waffles ice cream. This time, my daughter and I ordered the Christmas ice cream that gave flavor to this season: vanilla, black cherries and almonds. My husband ordered his favorite old style vanilla.
Thus, we started our 2024, with much enthusiasm and with the certainty that this is the first of many outings that await us this 2024.
Finally, we ended our walk, thankful for the good things we have and the good things to come.
Saludos y bendiciones, amigos. Espero que se encuentren muy bien, con salud, mucho amor y tomando el merecido descanso de estos primeros días del Año Nuevo, junto a sus seres queridos.
Luego de las festividades decembrinas, empezamos el año nuevo con nuestra primera salida del 2024, y qué mejor manera de comenzar que compartiendo juntos, en familia.
Desde la tarde del 31 de diciembre que, incluso granizó en la zona donde resido, no ha vuelto a llover. El cielo se ha mantenido despejado y nos ha regalado unos días de sol radiante, este nuevo año, que hemos sabido aprovechar al máximo durante nuestros paseos con los perritos. De igual manera, queríamos aprovechar la tarde que, también, estaba iluminada con una luz maravillosa que nos invitaba a salir y disfrutar del clima delicioso que caracteriza a Bogotá en estos días.
Nos preparamos para nuestra salida y nos fuimos en Uber al centro comercial Andino, uno de los que más nos gusta y al que no habíamos ido de noche para ver las luces navideñas por los alrededores. Por supuesto, comenzamos a tomarnos las fotitos de nuestra salida para guardar estos momentos en imágenes llenas de amor y disfrute.
El centro comercial estaba hermosamente iluminado tanto por dentro como por fuera. Me encanta salir a ver estas luces por la ciudad, todo se ve tan bello. Ya empecé a sentir una especie de nostalgia porque en pocos días quitan las luces y decoraciones y todo vuelve a la normalidad.
Aquí en Colombia, acostumbran a quitar todo en los hogares desde el 1 de enero. Yo, como lo hacía en Venezuela, la quitaré después del 21 de enero, día de Santa Inés, patrona de mi tierra cumanesa.
Después de caminar un rato, nos sentamos a cenar y luego nos comimos unos helados de Crepes&Waffles. Esta vez, mi hija y yo pedimos el helado de Navidad que le dio sabor a esta temporada: el de vainilla, cerezas negras y almendras. Mi esposo pidió su favorito de vainilla old style.
Así, iniciamos nuestro 2024, con mucho entusiasmo y con la certeza de que esta es la primera de muchas salidas que nos esperan este 2024.
Finalmente, terminamos nuestro paseo, agradeciendo lo bueno que tenemos y lo bueno que está por venir
