Hoy les quiero seguir contando acerca de mi visita al Centro de Artes Lia Bermudez.
Este Centro está en la Ciudad de Maracaibo y lleva su nombre por la Escultora Lia Bermudez.
Este Centro tiene dos galerías, una es de fotografías y la otra es de pinturas y esculturas.
A la primera que entré fue a la de fotografías y la exposición que estaba en ese momento llamó bastante mi atención. Eran mujeres con palabras escritas en ellas que de manera muy común recibimos a lo largo de nuestras vidas y por eso creo que llamó tanto mi atención porque me identifiqué mucho con esas palabras.

Today I want to continue telling you about my visit to the Lia Bermudez Arts Center.
This center is in the city of Maracaibo and is named after the sculptor Lia Bermudez.
This Center has two galleries, one is for photographs and the other one is for paintings and sculptures.
The first one I entered was the photography gallery and the exhibition that was there at the time caught my attention. They were women with words written on them that we very commonly receive throughout our lives and that is why I think it caught my attention so much because I identified myself very much with those words.
En esta parte estaban expuestos unos dibujos realizados por niños con temática de la Zulianidad, habían mantas guajiras, dibujos del Puente Rafael Urdaneta y de la Basílica, cepilladeros entre otros.
Una Galería muy bonita y llena de colores. También descubrimos una sala con mesas y sillas muy elegante y espaciosa, no sabemos con exactitud para que se utiliza pero seguramente pronto lo averiguaremos.
In this part were exposed some drawings made by children with the theme of the Zulianidad, there were blankets guajiras, drawings of the Rafael Urdaneta Bridge and the Basilica, cepilladeros among others.
A very beautiful and colorful gallery. We also discovered a room with tables and chairs very elegant and spacious, we do not know exactly what it is used for but surely we will soon find out.
Luego de ver esta Galería, pasamos a la siguiente. En esta hay varias obras de diferentes autores, en su mayoría de Lia Bermudez.
Hay unas pinturas bastante interesantes como una de Monica Socorro llamada ''Doble mal entendido'' la cual pintó en el año 1990.
Hay una escultura de una rueda que tiene un auto encima y mientras la rueda se mueve el auto siempre se mantiene en la parte superior.
Hay muchos cuadros bastantes coloridos e interesantes.
After seeing this gallery, we move on to the next one. In this one there are several works of different authors, mostly by Lia Bermudez.
There are some quite interesting paintings like one by Monica Socorro called ''Doble mal entendido'' which she painted in 1990.
There is a sculpture of a wheel with a car on top of it and while the wheel is moving the car always stays on top.
There are many quite colorful and interesting paintings.
Como les mencioné en el primer post de esta visita, nunca había asistido a una galería o museo y ver tantas obras de arte me encantó y me llenaron de ilusión de crear una con nuestros niños de la clase de Pintura.
Crearles una Galería para que puedan exponer su arte ante sus familiares y que sus padres puedan ver el Avance de los niños.
El arte es una bella manera de expresar nuestros sentimientos, de liberar nuestra mente y de comunicarnos. Ya sea bailando, pintando, cantando, actuando siempre podemos encontrar esa vía de escape a través de estas disciplinas y es lo que queremos enseñar a nuestros alumnos.
As I mentioned in the first post of this visit, I had never been to a gallery or museum and seeing so many works of art delighted me and filled me with the illusion of creating one with our children in the Painting class.
To create a Gallery for them to exhibit their art in front of their families and for their parents to see the children's progress.
Art is a beautiful way to express our feelings, to free our minds and to communicate. Whether it is dancing, painting, singing, acting we can always find that escape through these disciplines and that is what we want to teach our students.
