¡Hola Chicos!
Como les comenté ayer, el mes pasado dimos inicio a un evento creado entre mi compañera Elieska y yo llamado Convinarte. La primera edición fue un éxito y hoy voy a hablarles de como ha sido la aventura para hacer nuestra segunda edición.
Al terminar el evento muchas personas se vieron interesadas en una segunda edición, por lo que nos planteamos la idea de hacerlo a finales del mes de abril.
Algo muy pronto para el tiempo que teníamos para ejecutarlo todo pero como ya la mayoría de las cosas importantes las teníamos, como la pintura, los caballetes y los pinceles, decidimos arriesgarnos y poner una fecha cercana.
Esta vez el evento sería en alianza con un restaurant conocido de la ciudad, ya les contaré luego como fue que logramos un acuerdo con ellos.
Han pasado los días y hasta los momentos no contamos con ninguna persona inscrita más si nos han preguntado muchos curiosos y personas interesadas en asistir. Esto nos tiene un tanto nerviosas porque necesitamos todavia comprar algunas cositas, pero tenemos fe de que a medida que se acerque la fecha las personas comenzarán a reservar.

As I mentioned yesterday, last month we started an event created by my partner Elieska and me called Convinarte. The first edition was a success and today I'm going to tell you about the adventure to make our second edition.
At the end of the event many people were interested in a second edition, so we came up with the idea of doing it at the end of April.
Something very soon for the time we had to execute everything but as we already had most of the important things, such as the paint, easels and brushes, we decided to take the risk and set a date close to the end of April.
This time the event would be in alliance with a well-known restaurant in the city, I will tell you later how we reached an agreement with them.
Days have passed and so far we have not had any person registered but we have been asked by many curious and interested people to attend. This makes us a bit nervous because we still need to buy a few things, but we have faith that as the date gets closer people will start to reserve.
Aprovechamos el día que fuimos a la cita en mi antiguo colegio para hacer un adelanto en estas compras. Mi compañera contaba con un dinero extra en su cuenta y lo ofreció para que al menos compráramos algunas cositas.
Entramos a un supermercado, lo que acá llamamos "chinitos", para averiguar algunos precios.
Nos hacen falta unos envases para darle a cada persona y que puedan lavar sus pinceles. La vez anterior les dimos unos vasos desechables pero no sirvieron mucho porque eran muy pequeños. Esta vez queremos probar con algo un poco más grande.
Estos envases de color negro serían lo ideal, aunque no contábamos con los recursos para comprarlos en el momento.
We took advantage of the day we went to the appointment at my old school to make an advance on these purchases. My roommate had some extra money in her account and offered it so that we could at least buy a few things.
We went into a supermarket, what we call "chinitos" here, to find out some prices.
We need some containers to give to each person so they can wash their brushes. Last time we gave them some disposable cups but they were not very useful because they were too small. This time we want to try something a little bigger.
These black containers would be ideal, although we didn't have the resources to buy them at the moment.
Aproveché de ver algunos precios en envases de postres. Desde hace un tiempo quiero comenzar con mi venta de dulces y el conocer estos precios me ayuda mucho a la hora de planificarme. Hay muchos envases lindos en el mercado.
I took the opportunity to see some prices on dessert packaging. I have been wanting to start selling sweets for a while now and knowing these prices helps me a lot when planning. There are a lot of nice containers on the market.
Luego Elieka encontró unos envases pequeños con tapa, que nos ayudarían a solucionar el problema a la hora de entregar la pintura a los participantes del evento.
Llegamos a la conclusión que podemos colocarlos en las mesas para que así no tuvieramos que estar recargando las pinturas, sino que cada persona se sirviera lo que iba a necesitar en el momento.
Compramos 150 envases pequeños. Fue una locura probarlos que todos estuvieran en buenas condiciones y además contarlos para llevarlos a caja 😂. Aprovechamos para ponernos al día en nuestras vidas jajaja.
También tomamos dos paquetes de servilletas, que son de mucha utilidad a la hora de secar los pinceles. Ya con esto nos fuimos a pagar.
Then Elieka found some small containers with lids, which would help us to solve the problem when it came to handing out the paint to the participants of the event.
We came to the conclusion that we could place them on the tables so that we wouldn't have to reload the paints, but that each person could help themselves to what they needed at the moment.
We bought 150 small containers. It was crazy to test them to make sure they were all in good condition and also to count them to take them to the cashier 😂. We took the opportunity to catch up on our lives hahaha.
We also took two packs of napkins, which are very useful when drying the brushes. And with that we went to pay.
Pasamos por otras tiendas y encontramos cosas lindas, pero nada que nos sirviera en el momento o que tuviéramos el presupuesto para cubrir esos gastos.
We went through other stores and found nice things, but nothing that would work for us at the time or that we had the budget to cover those expenses.
Fue entonces cuando nos fuimos directamente hasta la tienda el castillo para comprar la tela de lienzo. Compramos dos metros de tela, que son más que suficientes para poder hacer los 30 cuadros que necesitamos.
It was then that we went straight to the castle store to buy the canvas fabric. We bought two meters of canvas, which is more than enough to make the 30 paintings we need.
Luego de hacer una pequeña fila para pagar nos entregaron la tela y estábamos listas para irnos. Comenzamos las compras del evento con dinero prestado y no era la idea, pero no podemos esperar más días para comenzar a armar los lienzos y preparar todo para el gran día.
A medida que las personas vayan pagando iremos cancelando estas pequeñas deudas.
After standing in line to pay we were handed the canvas and were ready to go. We started shopping for the event with borrowed money and that was not the idea, but we can't wait any more days to start assembling the canvases and getting everything ready for the big day.
As people pay up we will be paying off these small debts.
Para finalizar el día terminamos con unos pocos pastelitos para recargar energías y poder llegar a casa. Tenía que ir a dar clases a las 2 de la tarde y en ese momento ya era casi la 1 y aún no había almorzado.

To end the day we finished with a few pastries to recharge our batteries and get home. I had to go to teach at 2 pm and at that time it was almost 1 pm and I still had not had lunch.
