Hoy les vengo a contar una de las clases esta semana y es que ese día estuvo lleno de acontecimientos. Al llegar noté que estaban haciendo la instalación de varias decoraciones navideñas en el centro de la ciudad y esto estaba cortando la circulación normal de los vehículos.
Temía que cuando me tocaba tomar el transporte de regreso me costara un poco, pero traté de no preocuparme mucho pues a lo mejor para ese momento ya habrían terminado. Ese día debía dar clases un poco más tarde de lo habitual, y yo quería llegar un poco antes porque había planificado hacer la compra de una tela para los lienzos que debo armar dentro de poco.
Así que organicé mi día para salir a tiempo de casa y poder hacer todo antes de irme a las clases.

Today I'm going to tell you about one of my classes this week, and that day was full of events. When I arrived, I noticed they were putting up several Christmas decorations in the city center, and this was disrupting the normal flow of traffic.
I was worried that it would be a bit difficult to get my ride home, but I tried not to worry too much because maybe they would have finished by then. That day I had to teach a little later than usual, and I wanted to arrive a little earlier because I had planned to buy some fabric for the canvases I have to make soon.
So I organized my day to leave home on time and be able to do everything before going to class.
Había llegado con 30 minutos disponibles así que me fui a la tienda de telas y luego de un debate con la chica para ver cual era la mejor tela y más económica, ella la cortó y me fui a caja a pagar.
Esta vez no fue una compras feliz porque gasté lo mismo que la vez anterior, pero llevándome 3 metros menos. Horrible.
De ahí pasé por la ferretería para ver los precios de las pegas y por una tienda para comprar unas galletas, porque tenía antojos de algo dulce y una vez que entro al local no vuelvo a salir sino hasta la salida, cuando ya todo está cerrado.
I had 30 minutes to spare, so I went to the fabric store. After a discussion with the saleswoman about which fabric was the best and most economical, she cut it for me, and I went to the register to pay.
This time, it wasn't a happy shopping trip because I spent the same amount as last time, but I got three meters less fabric. Awful.
From there, I went to the hardware store to check glue prices and then to a shop to buy some cookies because I had a craving for something sweet. Once I go into a shop, I don't leave until the exit, when everything is closed.
Ese día no estuve mucho para tomar fotos porque estaba ocupada recortando unas cosas, por lo que dejé a mis alumnos trabajar tranquilamente y decidí tomar solo unas pocas.
I wasn't around much that day to take photos because I was busy cutting things out, so I let my students work quietly and decided to take only a few.
Y cuando me iba a dedicar a hacerlo que era al finalizar la clase con los resultados de todos, se nos fue la electricidad. Por lo que preferí no estresarme y ayudar a los alumnos a terminar con sus pendiente.
Así, a oscuras terminamos la jornada del día, pero ahí no terminaba la aventura.

So, in the dark, we finished the day, but the adventure wasn't over yet.
Pues como les dije a principios del post, ese día tenían trancada la avenida por las instalaciones de las decoraciones navideñas y el transporte que normalmente agarro al salir del local no estaba llegando hasta ahí.
Por lo que me tocó caminar unas cuantas cuadras hasta llegar a un sitio donde medio había circulación y pues tomé otro transporte que me dejaba a mitad de camino para poder salir de ahí porque ya el sol se estaba poniendo y luego se me complicaría todo para poder llegar a mi casa.
Este transporte me quería cobrar el doble del pasaje porque lo tomé casi llegando al termina, pero el señor luego de un poco de recorrido se dio cuenta que no era mucho el trayecto y que no tomé el transporte de esa forma por abusar.
Me dejó luego de varios minutos en mi destino y por fin pude tomar el transporte que me traería a casa, pagando un pasaje adicional, pero bueno, se logró que era lo importante.
Así finalizó mi jornada del día, gracias por acompañarme a una nueva aventura. ♥
As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, the avenue was blocked off that day due to the Christmas decorations, and the bus I usually take after leaving the store wasn't going there.
So I had to walk a few blocks until I reached a place with some traffic, and I took another bus that dropped me off halfway there so I could get out of there because the sun was already setting, and it would be difficult to get home later.
This bus wanted to charge me double the fare because I boarded it almost at the terminal, but after a short ride, the driver realized it wasn't a long distance and that I wasn't trying to rip him off.
He dropped me off after several minutes, and I was finally able to catch the bus that would take me home, paying an extra fare, but hey, I made it, which was the important thing.
