No suelo salir mucho de casa, pero cuando lo hago procuro tomar la mayor cantidad de fotos posible para estudiarlas más a fondo en casa.
Es lindo conservar esos recuerdos y al mismo tiempo, estoy creando contenido para ustedes y hablarles un poco más de lo que es mi ciudad, para que tengan una pequeña idea de que se siente recorrer sus calles en un día normal.
El último día que salí a comprar la medicina para el problema de garrapatas que tengo en casa, debía hacer otras cositas antes de llegar a casa, así que aproveché para caminar y ver un poco lo que la ciudad tenía para ofrecerme en camino a la parada del transporte.

I don't get out of the house much, but when I do I try to take as many photos as possible to study them further at home.
It's nice to keep those memories and at the same time, I'm creating content for you guys and telling you a little more about what my city is like, so you get a little idea of what it's like to walk its streets on a normal day.
The last day I went out to buy medicine for the tick problem I have at home, I had other things to do before I got home, so I took the opportunity to walk around and see a bit of what the city had to offer on my way to the bus stop.
En la pared de afuera de la tienda de mascotas hay un gran mural, bastante colorido, pintado por una chica que es artista que ha ido ganando fama por sus murales a lo largo de los años.
Se caracterizan por ser bien coloridos, con unos personajes bastante particulares de piel naranja y cabello como afro. Creo que pinta versiones de ella misma, aunque es una suposición pues no he tenido la oportunidad de conocer su obra más a fondo.
El ver sus pinturas la verdad me inspiran mucho a crear, sobre todo obras a gran escala. Este mural ya ha sido pintado en dos ocasiones porque el sol tan fuerte que hace en mi ciudad, lo decolora súper rápido.

De camino a mi destino, me crucé con este gran local que estaba en alquiler. Al verlo me vino a la mente el local que hemos estado buscando desde hace meses para la academia.
La verdad tengo muy presente el sueño de dar clases de pintura en la ciudad de Cabimas, pues donde nos encontramos actualmente es una zona de difícil acceso y no todos tienen la posibilidad de llevar a sus hijos para allá.
Teniendo un local en un lugar céntrico definitivamente lo haría más sencillo, y además todas esas personas que se han mostrado interesadas por las clases podrían inscribirse.

The truth is that I have very present the dream of giving painting classes in the city of Cabimas, because where we are currently located is an area of difficult access and not everyone has the possibility to take their children there.
Having a place in a central location would definitely make it easier, and also all those people who have shown interest in the classes could enroll.
Cuando tomé el transporte, pasamos por la emblemática plaza bolívar y la catedral. Ambos íconos de la ciudad.

Luego de un pequeño recorrido en carro, llegué a mi segundo destino. Debía pasar por el centro comercial Costa Mall para buscar algo que había encargado y me harían entrega en uno de los negocios.

La chica me entregó el paquete y luego me fui a la feria de comida para terminar de recortar unos panfletos del evento que había llevado para repartir, los cuales no pude entregar porque había olvidado llevar bolígrafo para anotar el número de teléfono. 😞
Así que decidí irme a casa y hacer esas entregas otro día.

So I decided to go home and make those deliveries another day.
Antes de irme pasé junto a otra de las estatuas de bronce que están en la entrada del centro comercial y me detuve a leer la placa que había junto a ella.
La obra es un "Homenaje a los Chimbangleros", que son quienes tocan los tambores en la procesión de San Benito.
Esto es una celebración típica de nuestra ciudad en la que la gente baila al ritmo del tambor haciendo largas caminatas de ida y vuelta hasta la catedral.
En el proceso se va bailando con la imagen de San Benito y las personas arrojan ron a modo de ofrenda.
Es una real locura y la verdad no se cuales son sus orígenes pero viendo el lado de la música, es algo bastante entretenido.
Yo he asistido unas cuantas veces, la última fue antes de saber que estaba embarazada de mi hijo 😂. Yo estaba toda mareada y pensaba que era por el fuerte sol que hacía ese día. Ya después nos dimos cuenta el verdadero motivo de los mareos... jajaja
Hasta acá este pequeño recorrido cultural por mi ciudad, Cabimas ♥

I have attended a few times, the last one was before I found out I was pregnant with my son 😂. I was all dizzy and thought it was because of the strong sun that day. Later on we realized the real reason for the dizziness... hahaha.
So much for this little cultural tour around my city, Cabimas. ♥
