Desde hace un tiempo mi compañera de la academia y yo hemos estado estudiando la idea de abrir una nueva clase de pintura, ya que una de las niñas de ballet había mostrado interés, pero chocaban los horarios lo que hacía imposible que pudiera asistir.
Consultamos con los padres a ver si era posible cambiar el día de las clases pero alguno no podían ese día, por lo que tomamos la decisión de abrir el nuevo nivel los días viernes con los niños que estuvieran interesados en iniciar.
Ese día solo asistieron dos de los 4 niños que debían llegar, pero aún así iniciamos la clase. Les hablé un poco de la historia de del dibujo y la pintura, y luego les comenté que ellas iban a pintar una de las obras de ejemplo que había llevado.

For some time my partner at the academy and I have been studying the idea of opening a new painting class, since one of the ballet girls had shown interest, but the schedules clashed making it impossible for her to attend.
We consulted with the parents to see if it was possible to change the day of the classes but some of them could not attend that day, so we decided to open the new level on Fridays with the children who were interested in starting.
That day only two of the 4 children who were supposed to come attended, but we still started the class. I told them a little about the history of drawing and painting, and then I told them that they were going to paint one of the sample works that I had brought.
Para que se les hiciera más sencillo a las niñas, decidí hacerles un boceto sencillo en la pizarra para que ellas pudieran copiar fácilmente y no se les hiciera tan complicado recrear la obra en sus hojas.
Aún así se les complicó un poco a la hora de trazar las líneas. Una de ellas dudaba mucho de sus capacidades porque nunca había tenido ningún acercamiento a la pintura. Decía cosas como "no puedo hacer eso", "yo no se dibujar", "no voy a poder".
La otra en cambio se la pasa dibujando y se sentía más tranquila con su dibujo.
To make it easier for the girls, I decided to make a simple sketch on the blackboard so that they could copy it easily and it would not be so complicated for them to recreate the work on their sheets.
Even so, it was a little difficult for them to draw the lines. One of them was very doubtful of her abilities because she had never had any approach to painting. She said things like "I can't do that", "I don't know how to draw", "I won't be able to".
The other one, on the other hand, spent her time drawing and felt more at ease with her drawing.
Con mi apoyo la niña pudo hacer su boceto y quitarse un poco esa idea de que ella "no podía hacerlo". Ya luego comenzaron a darle color a sus obras, yo las fui orientando paso a paso y ya cuando ellas estaban ocupadas me dediqué a ir adelantando un poco del mural que estamos trabajando en el salón de clases.
With my support the girl was able to make her sketch and get rid of the idea that she "couldn't do it". Then they began to color their work, I guided them step by step and when they were busy I began to advance a little of the mural that we are working on in the classroom.
Se divirtieron mucho y al mismo tiempo se distraían bastante por lo que me tocó llamarles la atención varias veces.
Al rato llegó mi hijo a hacerme compañía. Había llevado su cuaderno para hacer unos dibujos que tenía pendientes para una tarea de la escuela. Todos estaban bien concentrados en sus deberes y poco a poco todo comenzó a tomar una mejor forma.
They had a lot of fun and at the same time they were quite distracted, so I had to call their attention several times.
After a while my son came to keep me company. He had brought his notebook with him to do some drawings he had to do for a school assignment. Everyone was very focused on their homework and little by little everything began to take a better shape.
En un principio las niñas pensaban simplemente iban a hacer dibujos y ya pero yo les expliqué que la clase iba mucho más alla de solamente hacer dibujos.
Yo por mi parte, logré avanzar en el mural y por fin ya está viéndose más completo.
At first the girls thought they were just going to draw pictures and that was it, but I explained to them that the class was much more than just drawing pictures.
I, for one, was able to make progress on the mural and it is finally looking more complete.
Las chicas lograron terminar su pintura, quedaron bien contentas con el resultado. Yo me sentí muy orgullosa de ellas porque para no tener casi habilidades, lograron unas pinturas muy lindas. ♥
The girls managed to finish their painting, they were very happy with the result. I was very proud of them because for having almost no skills, they achieved very nice paintings. ♥
Así terminó nuestro día y el primer día de clases trabajando con un nuevo nivel inicial.
