Making my achievement journal

My therapist has given me an assignment of listing my achievements that I neglect or have forgotten about. Since I really like doing all these paper stuff at the moment, I decided to just make a journal specifically for that.

I don't have the best memory so making and having this journal will help me be reminded of the things I have achieved so far. Having the wrong mindset will easily make yourself believe in the wrong things and these achievement reminders will keep me grounded and realistic.

I recently bought a printer since I realized we need it for printing important documents and I also wanted to print my artworks and stick them on the wall. I printed the pictures on a sticker paper so I don't have to use glue or tape for the pages.

I have this paper cutter thing that I ordered recently and when I tried it it sucked. LOL. It has a tiny blade under that white thing and you need to slide it to cut. The problem is it's hard to know where exactly you're cutting it compared to just using a cutter and ruler. I ended up using the good ol scissors. :P

I have journal notebooks specifically for different topics but they are mostly 160 pages and I don't think I'll write a hundred pages just for achievements... so I got myself this blank craft book.

It has 20 thick pages inside which is perfect for this purpose. I mean, I will be writing small achievements in another journal as well but this book will be more of highlights for the past 2 years for me.

It has this ugly ribbon which I then cut after. XD

I like how the lettering turned out.

I really love how this one turned out. It was not easy picking from my set of papers and stickers as I wanted a flowery vibe without it being necessarily vintage-looking. I only have vintage and cute set of papers lol so I had to be very picky to match the style I wanted for this page.

Also now I think about it... maybe this should have been "achievements journal"... with an s. Hmmp. Oh well.

On the next page is the first achievement that I can think of. These will be in no particular order so it wouldn't matter if on the first page is from the year 2022. :P

Sticking these papers are soooo fun. I really miss doing this. :D

First achievement is of course the Paris exhibit one. :D I like the cute style.

My penmanship is not exactly what I wanted but it's fine still. :P

I enjoyed making these 3 first pages and looking forward to do the rest. I have listed the big as well as small achievements that I accomplished and this is a really nice exercise for anyone.

Wow, how beautiful you got everything, the combination of your updated artwork with the vintage paper looks super nice, it gives it a special touch, I love this task that your therapist has given you, I think I should follow it, sometimes we focus a lot on what we have not achieved and we forget to think about all the things we have achieved. Loved your scrapbook friend 💞.

Yeah the vintage papers were really nice as well as some other vintage stickers but decided I don't want vintage theme for these pages haha. I'll use them somewhere else as they're really beautiful!

So true. It will be good for you as well. Sometimes we even take things for granted just because we forgot how far we've come and we end up being so harsh to ourselves. :D

Oh my, this is so colourful. Imagine designing your own journal. The lettering came out so nice dear. I'm semi good at lettering so I hope to do something beautiful like this one day. Record all my beautiful moments.

Thank you! Practicing on another paper helps. I also wrote it with pencil first before the marker lol.

Oh wow just today I went to buy myself a sketchbook as I have plans to make my own scrapbook and paste my favourite pieces of literature in it. I was wondering what kind of glue I should use to make sure the paper will be glued super well. What did you use?. I've got some glue tape and I am curious to try
I think that it can be super therapeutic to cut paper to glue it to make a special design, I can't wait to get started too! The lettering looks really well!

Have you seen how many design papers are out there for scrapbooking and journal making? It's insane😆
