En el tiempo que he estado estudiando en la universidad, he aprendido muchas cosas que, si bien no tienen relaciĂłn directa con mi carrera, siempre es importante saber un poco de ellas, y a veces suelen llegar a este conocimiento en situaciones inesperadas, la verdad. A veces solemos ir a clases y terminamos asistiendo a talleres, porque nos llaman con el interĂ©s de quĂ© aprendamos cosas nuevas, y aunque muchas veces somos engañados, cuando nos dicen que el taller está orientado para nosotros, resulta ser una total mentira porque suelen estar más enfocados a la carrera de publicidad, yo siento que siempre es buen momento para aprender algo, y todas las informaciones son muy valiosos, especialmente en el área de la tecnologĂa.
During my time studying at university, I have learned many things that, although not directly related to my degree, are always important to know a little about, and sometimes this knowledge comes in unexpected situations, to be honest. Sometimes we go to class and end up attending workshops because they call us with the intention of teaching us new things, and although we are often misled when they tell us that the workshop is geared toward us, it turns out to be a complete lie because they are usually more focused on advertising. I feel that it is always a good time to learn something, and all information is very valuable, especially in the area of technology.
El pasado martes estuvimos asistiendo a un taller de ciberseguridad, que iban a dar en la universidad donde estudio. Nos dijeron que estaba orientado a nuestra carrera, no fue asĂ, pero la verdad ya no importa mucho. A mĂ la verdad sĂ, me gustan muchĂsimo estos temas porque antes yo estudiaba informática. Estuve muchĂsimos años de mi vida, estudiando informática, como unos seis años y es lo que a mĂ nunca se me ha olvidado y lo que tampoco me ha dejado de gustar del todo. Siento que es la tecnologĂa, la informática, la seguridad, todas esas cosas son temas muy importantes que todas las personas tenemos que saber por lo menos lo básico. Se trata de quĂ© hacer, en caso de quĂ© te saquen una cuenta de las redes sociales, como tratar esas crisis, entender de dĂłnde, y por quĂ© vino ese problema, cuáles son las vulnerabilidades que uno puede someterse, simplemente por tener una contraseña muy dĂ©bil, por descargar, programas, piratas, por Archivos, que ni siquiera sabemos que tenemos, pero que están ahĂ, porque no sabĂamos que estábamos tratando con archivos de riesgo. Todas esas cosas son importantes, porque si pasa algo puede ser perjudicial para nosotros básicamente. Y en el ámbito de la publicidad cuando es gestiona la crisis o cuando alguien está llevando una cuenta de otra persona, que tiene acceso esas contraseñas, obviamente si pasa algo la persona que ajena, que están llevando las contraseñas, actualmente tiende a básicamente ser señalado, porque no hizo como su trabajo correctamente, que tambiĂ©n es como proteger, tanto el perfil de esa persona por dentro y por fuera básicamente.
Last Tuesday, we attended a cybersecurity workshop that was going to be given at the university where I study. They told us it was geared toward our career, but it wasn't, but the truth is, it doesn't really matter anymore. I really like these topics because I used to study computer science. I spent many years of my life studying computer science, about six years, and it's something I've never forgotten and never stopped liking. I feel that technology, computer science, security, all these things are very important topics that everyone should know at least the basics of. It's about what to do if your social media account is hacked, how to deal with those crises, understanding where and why the problem came from, what vulnerabilities you may be exposed to simply by having a very weak password, by downloading pirated programs, by files that we don't even know we have, but that are there because we didn't know we were dealing with risky files. All these things are important because if something happens, it can basically be detrimental to us. And in the field of advertising, when a crisis is being managed or when someone is managing another person's account and has access to their passwords, obviously if something happens, the person who is managing the passwords tends to be blamed because they did not do their job properly, which is also how to protect that person's profile, both internally and externally.
Y al principio del taller, yo estaba bastante concentrado, porque estaban tocando temas, como les mencionĂ© que me gustaban, estaban tocando de forma muy tecnolĂłgica, todo lo que son el malware, los pishing y esas cosas, pero ya despuĂ©s se fue más que toda el área de publicidad, y aunque es un tema importante, siento que se volviĂł bastante acaparador y bastante aburrido. Lo bueno que me llevo es son algunas prácticas para mejorar la seguridad y saber que hay cosas que yo hago, que he hecho hace muchĂsimos años, que son muy buenas para proteger nuestros datos,, equipo, dispositivos y todas esas cosas. Obviamente, desde ayer no las tengo demasiadas fotos, ya que estaba sentado un poco atrás y no podĂa tomar fotos de todo y el material visual estaba muy bien hecho, pero era más que todo como los puntos a tocar y listo. SĂłlo querĂa compartirles esta experiencia que me pareciĂł bastante interesante, espero que les haya encantado, nos leemos pronto!
At the beginning of the workshop, I was quite focused because they were discussing topics that I mentioned I liked. They were discussing everything related to malware, phishing, and those things in a very technological way, but then it shifted more to the area of advertising, and although it is an important topic, I feel that it became quite monopolizing and quite boring. The good thing I take away from it is some practices to improve security and knowing that there are things I do, that I have been doing for many years, that are very good for protecting our data, equipment, devices, and all that stuff. Obviously, I don't have too many photos from yesterday, since I was sitting a little further back and couldn't take photos of everything, and the visual material was very well done, but it was mostly just the points to cover and that was it.
